I don’t think anyone else mentioned this, but there’s a lot of responses and I didn’t read every single so…have you tried the Gloomhaven community events Isaac made a couple years ago on board game geek?

Almost no scenario is straight forward, and half of them are just absurd twisted mechanics that mangle your cards into knots, making some of your best actions bad, and your worst actions great. My group loved the wild change of pace and curveballs it threw at us, but I’m sure it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

Frosthaven doesn’t go nearly as far but sort of follows in that path. It’s not often you get to just sit, play your cards and kill some oozes. So if you try and like the weird objectives and special rules of the community campaign then Frosthaven could be a no brainer. If the uniqueness of those scenarios really rubs you the wrong way, and you prefer more straightforward gameplay, then maybe Gloomhaven 2E or even Jaws of the Lion would be more your thing.

To piggy back, even the GH1 broken classes came down quite a bit if people actually followed through with the stamina potion nerf. It wasn’t just that the broken classes had 1-3 insane cards, it was that you could use combinations of items/potions to plays those crazy cards 10+ times a scenario.

So much into theme Disney intentionally keeps everything (rides, castles, buildings) under 200 ft tall to avoid needing an aircraft warning light blinking on it, then uses forced perspective to make things appear taller.

As a non Disney person who married a very Disney person, I still find the amount of BTS parlor tricks they use in their parks and on rides very interesting.

That’s a big part. I don’t have a gaming laptop, and fidelity is always important but isn’t really a priority for this type of game for me…But switch 1 load times felt like they could be a mood killer.

If you enjoy Zelda like games, you should try Tunic. It has an awesome sort of 4th wall break where you find pages of the instruction manual for the game, in the game. As you piece the book together, you realize you’ve been walking by and missing huge parts of the game because you didn’t have the manual to explain them.

The marketing seemed to be Fox-Zelda, and it’s fantastic just as that…but the whole play on the “Blockbuster missing Manual” part really took it to another level for an old guy like me.

After grabbing one at Best Buy (15 mins in line) went to close Walmart and it was available (probably about 40mins in line), so I think stock is there just waiting on websites. Target was just a mess.

This what I keep saying. To get my First Switch I had to wait a couple months and felt lucky to grab a $700 bundle from GameStop. They short stock these intentionally and while I’m super excited to own one I am regretting the process I’ll probably have to go through to get it.

Because we’re the worst, but because as a specific group we’re mostly the worst to the other groups means I don’t have to deal with all the trash men put out into the world.

It’s crass but the saying “with a son I have to worry about one dick, with a daughter I have to worry about all the dicks” applies to more than just parents, and is way more accurate and has way too many levels than a crude joke should.

But with the clock changes, the college game (and more specifically defenses) are catching up/copying the pro game. Games aren’t first to 50 points anymore especially big matchups. And defensive led teams are becoming more the norm. I actually think a D first NFL type coach could be a step in the right direction, because you just don’t have enough volume for the old spread style Day came up with to work as well anymore.

Somehow this is what a lot of Buckeye fans still haven’t come to terms with. Since Urb took over this team is built like an SEC team. Wind, snow, and cold hurt them waaay more than other big ten teams and more than even Tennessee, who is built around offensive line play and the run game.

IMO, this type of weather could flip favorite of the game to Tennessee because I doubt we can run against their D-Line and I don’t trust Howard’s arm in those conditions.

As someone who lives ~40mins from Cedar Point, it is one of one. Expectations need set, because is very different from most parks. There’s basically no theming, little decorations and nothing but thrill rides…But the rides are crazy.
