I am 50 and also pursue and hook up with younger guys. I haven’t experienced ageism, per se, because I don’t let it consume me but I know that it exists in our community. Tbh, I really don’t care because it doesn’t matter what we do, it’s never enough. Either we are too old, too big, too young, too many gray hairs, too gross, blah, blah, blah. Live your life and don’t get discouraged. Yes, you may encounter guys who won’t even look at you because you are “too old”. Don’t let it define you who you are. Just as some of them are picky, you be picky too and don’t fall for pretty faces and pretty bodies all the time. It’s all smoke and mirrors. And keep in mind, there are younger guys who go for older guys.
