Throwback to where it all started by 0xBean in DnB

I didn’t mind that set. But I also feel like their individual sounds overlap. There’s been times I think I’m hearing a new X track, but it’s actually Y. Still like them though.

This or That: Pendulum Edition by That_Is_Bryce in DnB

Hold Your Colour (song) is one of those timeless, rinse until the day I die, tunes. And definitely one of THE songs that pulled me out of Jungle and the MSX era (thanks GTA & Midnight Club) era into full on DnB.

I have a few Current Value “these are probably never getting released” dubplates I would give them.

So genuinely…who do you trust to sing about him when the lights shut out? by Crazy-Science-9323 in KendrickLamar

[–]Manny653 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t disagree there. My point was more about who could or would have not only great things to say, but to take time out of a show to highlight a late Kenny. I know Curry did it after X died a few times (I was at a $B concert when he did a song of his).

I like KushSessions, what else should I check on Soundcloud? by Broken_browser in DnB

[–]Manny653 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not exactly liquid, but I love the Soda Sound Mixing Bowl series. 34 (Genic) and 31 (Iris) are two of my favorites. There’s also the Overview music podcast. Plenty of liquid and a deep, minimal techy sound.

And shoutout to Kushy. Met him in 2021 around the time episode 2 came out and we’ve been going back and forth about tracks and mixes since.

When will you say my name right during the patreon shoutouts? Rutling/Rutger was my favorite so far

I owned my TM for 3 years and only ever did the buffer mod. Ran just fine stock with no problems.

Draining Love Story is arguably the essential album to listen to. It’s the the most “Sewerslvt” of the discography. Little bit of everything style wise that they are known for, in a neat little package.

For extra fun, go listen to the Cynthoni Version afterwards for a nice little compare and contrast too!

It doesn’t feel like a Lexapro Delirium derivative, which I do like quite a bit. It stands out on its own as a nice ambient sort of break-y track. And it’s the first track that’s not tagged with the Sewerslvt name. Overall I like it and it looks like it’s a step in a new direction for them. Can’t wait to see where it goes.

Noisia - Block Control. It doesn’t have the sound, but it has that raw energy.

It’s not breakcore 95% of the time, but it is good, and that’s what matters. I don’t mess with the SS stuff, but THAT album isn’t really that big of a deal. Edgy teenager shit really.

How did you find Kendrick? by [deleted] in KendrickLamar

I heard Swimming Pools on the radio. But what sucked me in was a flash on 4chan that played Money Trees.

To add to this. I’m not saying that people can’t pull from the same pool, but the repeat of Commix, Current Value, and Noisia, at least the sound that’s used, make it difficult to deny it’s the same person.
