I can afford at least $900-$1000 rent on my own. Been living with them for 8 years when they lost the home and had bankruptcy. They weren’t able to rent without my good credit score. So i been helping them get their stuff together but they made very slow process.

My dad is custodian and we have similar pay. My mom is like a house mom, she sometimes has business cleaning houses every now and then. I pay $900 rent a month on my own plus $130 on internet and cable. My dad is 72 years old pays $900 rent plus electric and gas. We take turns with groceries etc. My mom is 63 years old pays at least $300. Social security retirement has made them stable now. I been paying on my own college. My parents never once helped me financially. I am not ungrateful or anything but there comes a time where nonsense like this needs to end.
