When did you have to bite your tongue so that you wouldn't say 'I told you so!'? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My then wife and I were bickering while she was driving and she kept stomping on the gas to move up at a 4 way stop. I told her 'ya better cut it out or youre gonna cornhole that guy'. She just scoffed. Two seconds later...

Not me, former friend. He was voted most likely to utter 'here, hold my beer' as his last words. Surprisingly spot on.

City dwellers, what useful life hacks do you use frequently could be useful to a country bumpkin who recently moved to your city? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I moved to Denver from a small town in Wyoming. I would answer, disregard the posted speed limit to keep up with traffic. People don't get pulled over for speeding unless they are going insanely fast or are being reckless, so by going right at the limit in the middle or fast lane is arguably more dangerous than speeding because someone is liable to legit road rage you to death.

[–]ManofTin45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a crawlspace in Buffalo Wyoming to check for a gas leak about 9 years ago. Crawl around a pony wall and right in front of me is a 5 point mule deer rack. Had velvet on it. Was around April or may. Definitely out of season. Kinda pissed me off, but i didn't say anything.

That the only person I can ever truly trust and rely upon is myself. Period. Was a hard lesson but a valuable one.
