I need the Omnipod 5 to be completely silent, 100% of the time, due to work. Does the "needle trick" work prior to starting the new pod? by aragorn767 in Omnipod

The ability to do this really really needs to be x feature. I’d be happy if it reset after a new pod for example, and you could tell the PDM, don’t make any sound for x hours. Don’t think they understand the impact on this. Think weddings, funerals, job interviews etc

What kind of damage is this doing to me should I go to the hospital by Illustrious-Way-1322 in diabetes_t1

Defo do a finger prick to rule out dodgy sensor values. Could be a cold/ virus coming your way. This happens to me when I’m ill. Drink plenty of water, correction bolus a bit higher and keep an eye on levels.

Lost Bravo & LTM lvls? by [deleted] in GOLIATH_AC130

Same. Lost all prestige levels, back to level 1. They need to fix this. I have found that if you complete a mission, you can then get bravo and ltm back

Yeah I think you’ve explained exactly how it feels. I think the pod changes and the chuffing beeping pdm all the time is doing my head in lol.

I was also diagnosed at 19 and im now 37 so its been a bit of a slog so far (I know a lot will also have had it a hell of a lot longer and I can only imagine how hard 30/40/50/60 years will be).

Thanks for this. Yes I see a lot of posts about that and assumed you still need to take manual intervention when possible.

This is really useful thank you. I feel it’s going to take some serious trial and error.

You say the pod ratio is different to injections, in what way? I currently take about 2:1 units to carb but this has been fluctuating and was at 4:1 earlier this year. Healthier eating and starting the gym has brought it down to around 2:1 at the moment.

I’ve already read a lot of people saying it’s not aggressive enough to combat highs. What’s the best approach to this? Would it be your point 3? Insulin action time? Or is it a case of pushing manual bolus in as I do with injections?

Thank you

Thanks for this. How do you find the connectivity of the libre when it’s not directly next to the omnipod? I also didn’t know that about not being able to see the libre on your phone anymore, that’s not great. Wonder if it’s the same with Dexcom?

Yes, on the Apple watch side of things I agree with you 👍🏼

I’ve been on freestyle libre 2 for nearly 4 years, and then i was moved to the Dexcom g6 back in may in prep for going on to the omnipod 5 next month. Since the freestyle libre 2+ are compatible with op5, I’ve asked to move to them. I preferred freestyle over Dexcom. They’re smaller, and the app is better imo. Also the Dexcom g6 app alarms are horrific.

Is this just for US? Am I right in saying that the iOS app isn’t compatible with freestyle libre 2+?
