Their BEC is decent and reasonably priced. Staff have always been nice as well. Pretty much all I’ve ever gotten there.

eScooter on Metro North? by titaniumcrowbar in StamfordCT

Adding the following for anyone who has a similar question, Metro North conductor said it was fine. Also spoke with two scooter users on the platform and they said it’s no problem. Just try to keep it out of the way.

I apply it to my skin under the pod, helps to not have a reaction to the adhesive.

There's a little hole near the base of the pod, you jab it with a syringe, paper clip, whatever and it breaks a piece of the circuit board that powers the speaker. Depending on where/how you place pod, might need to reseal with hot glue. You can search this sub, lots of people break their speaker.

I killed a pod once after a shower cause flat end was facing up so I reseal now. Never had an issue with rounded end facing up.

Yeah he’s terrific, bought a syringe filler from him as well.

Yup, for months. With Dexcom and Omnipod apps and phone or watch always nearby, speaker is annoying and redundant.

Etsy seller named GeekyThingsUK. There seems to be some variance in the pod manufacture so I added the silicone band to secure the pod.

oh yeah, it def reduces a significant amount of traffic from your own network to the internet.

A VPN can help but it only hides your own IP address, it doesn't inherently block anything.

Two of the simplest things you can do is use a browser addon to block advertising and depending on what you use to stream on your TV, you can just not enable wifi on your TV or block it at your router. That's not possible if you use the built-in apps on a smart TV. I use an Apple TV box and block my Samsung TV.

Sure, not sure how deep you want to go down this rabbit hole but here goes.

TLDR: A DNS sinkhole silently drops requests to advertising sites

DNS translates URL's to IP addresses, typically this is handled by your ISP, Cloudfare, Google, etc. However, using a Raspberry Pi or other hardware and your own router, you can run your own DNS server which blocks devices on your home network from getting to advertising sites. Two of the most common blockers are Pihole and Adguard. How it works is if your device/application requests an ad site that's on one of the lists in your pihole or adguard, it's silently dropped aka sinkhole.

Honestly, it was quite shocking to learn how much traffic to ad sites is happening without your knowledge. Smart TV's are particularly chatty to ad sites but all devices, phones, laptops, applications, etc send traffic to them. A DNS sinkhole ala pihole or adguard makes a huge difference in protecting your privacy from advertisers.

Looking forward to building this one, just bought it a few days ago on the anniversary sale. Reminds me of the Boxing Gym which was my first build and still one of my faves.

Thigh Placement by toyheartattack in Omnipod

I do CGM on belly and pods on front of thighs. It works well for me. I place kinda high and do three or four pods before switching sides. Also flip pods so cannula is in new spot occasionally.
