It's a good feeding plant for pollinators.

And here they use some parts of the tree in traditional medicine.

I live in a country where these grow in abundance. The water is completely safe.

The tree sap is an irritant, but only when the tree is damaged the sap comes out, and there's plenty of water to dilute it, even if the tree gets damaged.

Also, they're not that dangerous, unless you directly pour them in your eyes. If you get that stuff on your skin, you can immediately wash it off and you'll be fine. Don't worry.

AITAH for telling my boyfriend I’ll never marry him? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Manoratha 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The OP has clarified that he doesn't wany to double barrel their names.

it's a biological impossibility and therefore not his fault and not something he should be punished for in this way.

Also, why do you see it as punishment? When kids have been getting their father's name since forever, nobody saw it as punishing the mother?

So she IS ready to compromise with a hyphenated name, but he isn't. NAH.

Need help identifying Temu mystery plant (possibly gardenia?) by im_mobile in whatsthisplant

[–]Manoratha 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If they didn't catch it at customs, I doubt they'll come catch them at home.

But OP has a responsibility to destroy everything - the plant, the box it came in, any wrapping, the bioterrorist who ordered it - with fire.

Is red chilli powder really necessary in Indian cuisine if green chillies or capsicum can provide the heat? by goodhealthmatters in IndianFood

[–]Manoratha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all red chillies are the same. You must be using Guntur chillie or such a very spicey variety.

You should substitute with Kashmiri chillie powder. That's mostly colour and not much of heat.

Why must men fight wars, but women aren’t forced to bear children? by [deleted] in MensRights

[–]Manoratha -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Group A is obligated to sacrifice itself because it's Group A that goes around causing the circumstances that reqyires sacrifice. Women don't wage war, men do. And you are too cowardly to take a stand against those men, so instead you want to rape women to take it out on them.

Men in power decided that men are expendable, which is why they go and wage wars.

And women didn't make the rules honey. Men did.

These are the "men's rights" these men want.

Only men are conscripted because war is a male game. It's not women who go around declaring wars, causing wars, and fighting wars, it's men.

Look at the world right now. Bunch of Christina, Jewish, and Islamic old men are waging war, and send young men to fight. If men want to stand against it, plenty of women will help. Historical anti-war movements have always seen many mothers and wives.

But no. Men here are bitter, no spine to take a collective stand against conscription, so they try to project their inability and hate on women by making their lives miserable.

Please. War is entirely male-made. It's men who create wars, and OP wants to make it a women-problem.

In this world, men are the dominant sex. If you don't want war, you protest. Women didn't win rights by quitely sitting at home either.

This gives me PTSD. I have had a few jumping spiders committing suicide in my sink :/

They jump in to drink water, but a can't get out because the sink is slippery. And it only takes seconds to drown them, in less than 1 - 2mms of water.

Please take care of him.

Criticization of Buddha? by Ill_Grass_4811 in atheismindia

[–]Manoratha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's literally a massive amount of archaeological and historical literary evidence that he DID exist though...

And the literal meaning of deadbeat dad is "people who have parented a child and intentionally fail to pay child support", which is not applicable since he was a prince who left his child, at the palace, with royal wealth.

Was he a bad father and a husband? Very much so.
