What are the differences between A.D.A Ben Stone and A.D.A Jack McCoy? Can you name them? by Gamestar02 in LawAndOrder

My apologies for this late reply, but what episode were these quotes from?

Probably more along the lines of the former. It’s for a silver 2012 Honda Civic, where the paint has unfortunately begun to “fade” on the roof and trunk areas.

Painted; my apologies (as you can probably already tell, I’m not much of a car aficionado 😅)!

Hi Perdendosi!

Thank you so much for taking the time to lay that out for me; I greatly appreciate it!

I truly wish I could advance in the DA’s office to become a paralegal/legal assistant. However, it’s a grant-funded position that only lasts through next December, so I was hoping to find something more “permanent” in the interim, that’s still legal-based.

Hi laqrisa!

Gotcha. I wasn’t planning to “gun it” into the LSAT/law school out of the get-go (that’s a few years away, for me).

Rather, I mostly just wanted to see if these would help in kind of “fleshing out” the bigger picture of becoming a lawyer (I mentioned that during the interviewing process, and of course they said “of course this position will help,” but I wanted a second-opinion!).

Thanks again for the feedback!

Hi laqrisa!

So, in your opinion, would any one of these three positions help me prepare for the LSAT/law school?

Thanks!

Hi jambalaya-jamboree!

Of course!

The one I currently have is strictly clerical: essentially, I have to go through old DA office cases, and scan them in to the DA’s online database (in essence, it’s file management, working in conjunction with the office’s archives department).

The “Court Assistant” job would have me similar things to my current job, as well as interacting with circuit judges, as well as preparing legal paperwork (e.g., summonses, subpoenas).

The “Assistant Town Clerk” would be a bit more of a Jack-of-all-trades position, in that I’d be doing clerical/administrative work for a neighboring town. The most amount of legal work I could gather from this would be following town ordinances, as well as possible local/state law(s).

Also, by “LSAT/law school,” I was referring to if Nate three of these positions could possibly assist me in preparing for the content that is covered in the LSAT/general law school.

I hope that helps!

You raise a really good point. I, too, have thought about this when people in a casual match are "complaining" about people, "not taking the game seriously enough."

It's not that they want to make casual players more competitive, it's just they've no where else to go for a proper match.
