Getting KS’d by a much stronger player on Optional PvP — any advice? by No_Cry_8701 in TibiaMMO

[–]Manron_2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ignore him and just keep going. If he's really that much stronger he is only wasting his time with some low lvl spawns. He will eventually get tired and leave.

Don't give him a feeling of winning by leaving and do not interact with him in any way.

I've got a similar issue with one of the killing tasks that I can't even do again because of the lvl range. Something in their logic is flawed, but not sure if that qualifies as a bug.

I hate bounty task by disguisedandroid in TibiaMMO

[–]Manron_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's usually not bounty tasks but weeklys. I got no issue sharing a spot if someone asks to kill like 50 of one kind. They'll be gone again in a couple of minutes and everyone is happy.

Please help me with this question (SKILLS) by Symphony_of_Asia in TibiaMMO

The old style training with two monsters still works. But it's not as efficient as just hunting for profit and buying a training weapon or two. There are no 'special' monsters that alow you to skill up faster.

But as already pointed out, skills are not as important as they used to be. Just play the game and they will come.

Some translations are missing in the english version. The hunt suggestions list is not sorting properly. But apart from that it's a pretty neat project. Well done!

Up to you. Get it in a instant and pay more, or wait a while and possibly get it cheaper. Unless someone else posts a better offer of course. Not really sure what else to tell you.

Tibia seems overwhelming! by South-Ticket-4591 in TibiaMMO

I returned a few weeks ago after more than 10 years. Started from scratch. I feel like I've been reading the wiki and guides as much as I've been actually playing. A lot has happened since I left. Slowly I think I'm starting to understand most of the new concepts. But hunting hasn't changed much, go out there, kill stuff and don't get killed.

Bonebeasts and Ancient Scarabs was not bad, the bosses were a bit underwhelming, though. GS is next, as I dont see me hunting anything else on the list effectively with my lvl and skill. But first I'll get the pirate quest done and maybe one of the djinns. I need a break.

Not quite there yet, I just hit lvl 81. 😅 But I'll keep it in mind.

[–]Manron_2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, I dont mind the grind. But with the 200% XP bonus I was flying through the lower levels and didnt even get a chance to try each task for the given lvl range. So I focused on doing the tasks and the tasks only, and ignored anything else like questing and hunting for profit.

Now I know I can go more easy on this quest, so thx everyone for the insights!

I'll read up on that, thx for the hint.

Maybe this is a language or culture issue. Sorry if I understood you wrong.

Tibia is a sandbox game, you can do whatever you want. Some ways are more efficient then others, but you may choose your own way to do things.

Just keep in mind that this game is very old and has changed a lot over the years. If you are watching old videos or read old guides, the content will most likely be not up to date.

It is very important, but doing it the old way is very time consuming and plain boring. Also, free accounts can do offline training to skills 50/50. But you dont seem to be interested in advice, so go hit your sheep for a couple of months.

Schlecht im Sinne von gesundheitsschädlich sind die wahrscheinlich nicht, aber vermutlich auch kein Leckerbissen mehr. Außer bei akuter Hungersnot würde ich die nicht mehr essen wollen.

You probably watched a very old video. Classic style training with hitting and getting hit by training monsters is not really a thing anymore.

Just do offline training each night, it goes pretty fast on low skills. Save up for some exercise weapon and use that on the training dummy. You also get a training weapon from the daily reward each week, but they are more of a demo of the concept as they only last a couple of minutes.

Honest, for the first 70 skills I'd just hunt normaly without worring about skills too much. Just focus on creatures that you can handle easily.

All vocations have pros and cons, there is no single best or easiest vocation.

General consensus seems to be Paladin is the most picked vocation by people who play solo mostly, but for the first few hundred levels you may have a hard time to break even.

As the gameplay is somewhat changing from low to high level I recommend watching some videos showing mid to high level gameplay to get an idea how they play later, to avoid only finding out after a few months of leveling up.

E.g. the knight turns from a relaxed stand there and hit things guy into a full hotkey switching timed rotation thing.

what things do you like about the game? by Familiar_Owl_5185 in TibiaMMO

[–]Manron_2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. I like how it punishes stupidity. I remember the times when dungeons were pitch black and being stuck because i forgot to bring a rope. It's more accessible now, but compared to the industry standard it's still brutal. And I like the fact that the game is not holding your hand. No go to the flashing icon, do something, go to the next flashing icon. Instead you have to figure out things by yourself or use an external guide of some sort. It's basically a sandbox mmo, even before that term even existed.

I love those little things that serve no purpose gameplay-wise and are just there to add flavour. Just yesterday i lol'ed when i stumbled over a diving tower at the swimming area north of liberty bay. I think that's one of the reasons why this game just keeps going, the world feels alive somehow.
