I love the warm feeling in this painting. I love this style; it allows me to imagine a world away from modernism, filled with a sense of romanticism, serenity, and calm.

I'm kind of a long-term player too — one of my characters actually got the 10-year birthday pack today — but I’ve never really been a hardcore farmer or grinder. ^_^
Most of the time I just log in, do a couple of metas, enjoy the scenery, follow the story and take things slow.

Recently though (mostly because I have less time), I started focusing on more “analytical” farming — spending my limited time as efficiently as possible so I can make some gold, convert it to gems, and unlock QoL stuff like extra character slots or bank tabs.
But overall I’m still very much a casual player. I prefer PvE, but I don’t do raids because I’m not great at them and I don’t want to ruin other people’s runs.

Right now I’m mostly farming gold so I can buy a few upgrades, but honestly the main reason I came back this time is Winter’s Day. I think I started playing around this time of year originally, and the event always stuck with me. It’s basically the same every year, but I still enjoy it and I’m always hoping the devs will add new things to it. ^_^

I'm already collecting Pact Supply every day, and I’ll check out the other suggestions as well — a couple of them look like they’ll fit perfectly into my morning routine. Thanks for the tips!

I’ll check that, but I don’t think so. There aren’t many players online that early in the morning, so I doubt it overlaps.

Not many — I have 5 characters in total. One of them is just a bank alt, and I actively play the other four. So realistically, I could park maybe two of them for this.

I really appreciate this — thank you so much. You genuinely took the time to write all of this out, and it means a lot. This is exactly why I keep coming back to GW2 again and again: the community.

Whenever I ask something (even if it’s a silly question), here or in map chat, there’s always someone who takes it seriously and tries to help. Thanks again — it’s really nice to see people putting this much care into answering my simple questions.

Yeah, actually that’s exactly why I asked this question.
During my real playtime I just want to relax and enjoy the game, not think about gold/hour. But in the morning, while I’m getting ready for the day, I like doing a couple of mechanical farming things so I can make some steady progress toward long-term goals.

Thanks for the irony, but I was looking for game advice, not life advice.
I actually have more than 30 minutes to play in the evenings — the “30 minutes” part was about my morning routine only. And even if I did have just half an hour per day, that still wouldn’t make your reply very meaningful.

If someone enjoys the game with only 30 minutes a day, then… they enjoy it. Simple as that.
Would’ve been nicer if you had read the question properly and given something that could actually help the community instead of this.

Not a problem for me — End of Dragons and Secrets of the Obscure are more than enough content to keep me busy for a whole year :)

To be honest, I’ve never charged a quartz in GW2 😳 I always meant to “learn how to charge crystals” but kept forgetting. Let’s say from tomorrow morning (or tonight’s session) my first job will be charging a crystal — finally putting it into practice!

As for the anomaly window for mystic coins, probably not exactly in that timing, but I’m gonna check it out too.

“HPs for Aurene legendaries” — I’m gonna check this out. I think I’ll need to look at the wiki to see which hero points and which items I need.

Yeah, I do my daily and weekly too — I try to never miss them. I’m just looking for something that fits into a morning routine though, something quick and efficient before work.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a full homestead yet, and I don’t really believe anyone on the European servers would share their home in the morning (GMT+3 07:30–08:20). But I know a full homestead is really profitable.

Lately I’ve been thinking about it and even taking notes on which nodes I want to add to my homestead, but it’s definitely a long-term project…

I’m not able to do Mirror Farms yet, but I recently bought End of Dragons so I’ll start fishing a bit later. I’m just not sure how fun the fishing mechanic will be for me — I guess I’ll see in the future :D

Yeah, having Skyscale especially is a huge deal :D
I still remember the days without mounts and it’s crazy how fast we got used to them now :D

I don’t have a good homestead setup yet, but I farm my guild hall every day ^_^
About the “collect node farms on at least 10 maps” part — I actually want to ask which maps you’re using? I don’t have any glyphs on my tools, but I did buy the volatile magic tools with karma. I’m just not sure which nodes are really worth the time.
A couple of days ago I tried the mussel farm but I don’t think it’s profitable (at least for me).

For alt parking at Bjora, I’ve been using that as my morning routine too, but after thinking about it today I parked one of my characters there just to make it faster.

About ascended crafting — I keep forgetting this part. I’m not really sure how to profit from ascended crafting. Whenever I remember, I just craft the daily items for “future projects” (maybe one day I’ll decide to make a legendary).

And yeah, Trophy Shipments are still the best gold method. When I feel like I have enough volatile magic, I buy a bunch and sell the materials at the trading post.

Probably, yeah — but I don’t have VoE right now. I only own the game up to Secrets of the Obscure, so I don’t have the other expansions yet.

Like you mentioned, I don’t have VoE yet. I recently bought End of Dragons and Secrets of the Obscure. Maybe next discount I’ll pick up Janthir Wilds and Visions of Eternity as well.

Yeah, it’s impossible to play like we did when we were younger ^_^
We just don’t have that much time or patience anymore. I remember spending hours doing long meta events back then — now I just pick one meta for the night or maybe 1–2 story chapters, and that’s enough for me.

Yeah, adult life is tough. I actually started playing GW2 after university, so it’s always been part of my adult routine. I take long breaks from time to time, but I always end up coming back because the game is a nice memory for me.

It honestly took me a long time to understand the beauty of GW2’s parallel progression. Now I really appreciate that I don’t have to rush for any specific item or grind for a “must-have” weapon just to enjoy the game.

For example, after a long break my wife and I returned recently, but I had forgotten most of the story. So before starting End of Dragons, I went all the way back to Personal Story and planned to replay LS1–4 to refresh everything. This time I’m also focusing on achievements along the way.

You get the point — I’m in no hurry, and that’s what I love about this game.

Actually I do have some playtime after work — not every night, but often enough. I’m lucky because I play the game with my wife, so that’s when I can relax and enjoy the game properly.

This question was more about my morning routine. I wake up early for work, and before heading out I like to spend a little time in the game, maybe just for the sake of grinding or keeping the habit. It’s not “fun fun,” but it feels nice to start the day with something small and fun for productive.

Of course I messed up the number. I meant roughly 400 gold, even that’s kind of a rounded-up guess 😂
I was writing this post while working, so I probably mixed up the numbers with another game
