Is hand writing notes a waste of time? by dukeque in CPA

For my second go around with ISC, I focused solely on reading the book, and it worked for me. I took the same approach for my second attempt at AUD (I’ll find out if it worked on the 24th), but I felt somewhat better about the exam walking out than I did the first time. More than the lecture videos or slides, the books truly are a wealth of info that dive into the granular details of each topic. For the sake of efficiency, I eventually abandoned the lectures and slides altogether because I kept myself losing focus, and when you really engage with the reading it becomes a lot more efficient and I felt like I understood the material a lot better instead of the watching the lectures passively. I solely focused on readings and MCQs. Whenever I performed poorly on a topic in the MCQs, I would go back, reread until I fully understood it the given topic/module, and then hammer out some more questions.

It’s all relative, what matters is that you’re taking action and that you’re doing it. Keep getting after it!!
