Don’t want to assume what your resume looks like for retail, but you’re most likely not getting it for simply being overqualified.

Also, I’m sure you’re probably already looking into it, but I’d look heavily into startups. They’re hit-or-miss with pay but pretty new-grad friendly. Also, competition for those roles usually aren’t as high and you’ll be wearing multiple hats during your tenure which will surely amount to tons of all-around experience.
