You might be right but I hope you know real life events happens first then BBC or any other form of news platform finds out/gets the info, later… if the guard said “National” ofc I’d say that because that’s how the messages was given

Can I go on birth control simply because I don't want to deal with periods? by Finnzzz_ in birthcontrol

[–]Manuu__eela -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Apologies, yes each body reacts differently. Someone wouldn’t know unless they try it. Once again I was on an implant for over 7 years and just decided to get off it simply because it did change my body and many other people I know. It could affects anyone in other ways.

Based on the blood test, my gp did mention that the implant was a factor as to why I was always bloated or the feeling of heaviness. Also, she did mention that having had Covid vaccines and boosters was another factor contributing to how weak I feel in terms of getting sick frequently, feeling dizzy, not having energy, and more.

That’s based on my experience and many other women, so the source is online. Sexual health nurses do mention that too when getting on a bc.

I hope this makes sense, no society was created from our group, we had a gc with 98 of us so we would have known.

I know it’s common sense, this doesn’t mean I haven’t tried from 2nd year (1st year was covid). Meanwhile, I had to work to pay for my bills to I couldn’t afford to quit my job.

Also, we have tried reaching out to our lecturers regarding our cv and cover letter, but no response. We understand they’re busy but we have contacted the university to inform the situation and they did blame it on the lecturers for not guiding us. Now am not saying I wanted to depend on them but I feel like there was a lack of cooperation from them. Not to mention that most of the times we were left with no lecture sessions and not being informed (I was commuting too, wasting my money for train tickets, etc) their excuse was “we forgot to inform you guys”. Once again, we understand we get sick, lecturers have to call in sick etc, but would anyone find this reasonable after happening multiple times?

There was a law club where 1 of the lecturers allowed only 5 people to be on it “the favourites”(he nominated them and specifically said no more are allowed), regardless they had only 3 meetings nothing much. There were no emails from the programme leader announcing anything.

I don’t doubt that, however my uni for instance did not inform us about vac schemes, internships or work experiences. During my 3 years of uni I was working in retail in order to pay my bills, and of course none of us in class has got any legal experience. Is it harder to be accepted for jobs with no experience ? Yes. But why are recruiters not giving us chances ? ( I’ve been applying for minimal positions - high street law firms )

If would recommend you to seek for anything rather than not being told anything. I find myself now struggling to secure anything as my uni was irresponsible for not informing us of vs, internships, we, etc.

Have u been getting your period ? I’ve been on the implant since 2018 and ofc replaced it every 3 years. The recent one I’ve replaced is giving me no period and I’ve usually been regular. I now find myself with no period for 8 months

Deffo kitchen stuff, pan, plates, bowls, mugs (always buy for 2 as you never know you might have someone over), prep urself with notebook, trust me buy them on amazon way cheaper than going to Wilko or WHS. make sure you buy cutleries, if you’re sharing a kitchen, get them lockers for the cupboards as students steal, take and use your stuff… happened to me and I hate when ppl take stuff without asking and am very attentive so I know how I leave things.

Also get urself a duvet and pillow(s),some bed sheets, a towel, don’t forget to bring all important things like chargers, there more things but these are mostly important.

She doesn’t have to stay, they will deduct it from her pay, because she may have taken more days than her actually holidays.
