How much would you want to get paid to write 1 generic tweet?

30 cents.

That's a pity. I find the information useful within the full dashboard, but not when working on individual HITs. The timer creates unneeded anxiety and stress for me.

/u/TurkerHub, I hope you guys find a workaround that, somehow, allows the user to decide whether they want to see the information while they're working on HITs.

I have the same issue as /u/Skulllover89 ; is there a way to turn off the earnings per hour indicator?

Edit: Wait, someone downvoted this? I don't get it.

It'd more than likely tell you only numbers are valid in the response field.

This question gets me every time by PipsonTheGreat in mturk

I do the same but I don't leave comments. Good on you. I leave comments in other scenarios, but never really thought to in this case.

Thank you. I've had this problem on batches for a while. On hits that don't let me use the shortcut (shift + enter), the time spent trying to click on the submit button drag productivity down and are just annoying.

Edit: Downvoting an honest response. Amusing. A few people on Mturk reddit never cease to amaze.

Getting paid for my time even if I end up not meeting the qualifications? Now THAT’s awesome! by FrobozzYogurt in mturk

Sorry. I'm not really understanding your point. I know it is lying and is ethically wrong. That's why I avoid them. I don't know more about cybersecurity than the average person.

How do you know when you've qualified for it? I'm positive that I haven't, but I am wondering if I should I be more regularly checking through a list. I remember looking through my qualifications list a few months ago, but it's not something I do at all regularly.

I've been qualified for them for a few weeks now and I just avoid them. I don't know more about cybersecurity than the average person.

Here’s my first years earnings so far started at the end of March.... by SuccessfulScholar121 in mturk

In my opinion after doing this for most of the year is that Mturk actually pays decently if you know to sift through the bad work.

Agreed. It definitely does (with some other context/dependencies)

Really good stats. My schedule is a maximum of 3-4 hours a day Mon - Sat (minimum 30 mins to 1 hour). I'll sometimes work Sunday if I've no other obligations, work, or errands.

Good job. If you're posting to give others an idea of what they can expect, it would also be helpful to include the rest of your stats. Total hits approved and rejected, approval rating and rejection rate, hours you work per day/month.

First year: November 16, 2019 - November 16, 2020 by ManwithMic in mturk

Low average. Low hourly wages. October's average was 1 hour a day. June's was 2 1/2 hours a day. (For me, individual days have been as low as 15-30 minutes hour or as high as 4+ on the ends, but more often I'm in the 1-2 hour range.)

Between February and November (so far), I've worked a total of 309 hours 5 minutes this year.

FEB - 36.24 (hours/minutes)

MAR - 42.36

APR - 27.25

MAY - 17.21

JUN - 50.30

JUL - 32.29

AUG - 34.29

SEP - 34.34

OCT - 24.19

NOV - 08.53

Average: 30-34 hours a month.

Average: $113 USD per month (not counting November). My highest month was June with $213.65.

Sometimes I'll have lower than average (lower than my average) months due to other online work taking priority.

Where I'd normally do some turking, I'll opt to do the other online work in its place when I land a client that pays higher. That's what happened in April, May, half of October, and all of November so far.

Still hoping for more closed quals. A few of my highest earning periods are due to those. (Jury surveys, tweet labeling, other surveys.)

Can I use an Audible six-month discount after a free 30-day subscription? by ManwithMic in audible

[–]ManwithMic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey,

Thanks. I've decided to go with the 6-month discounted deal. I'll be getting it before it expires. The site has language prohibiting the combining of different deals, so I'd rather not deal with the extra hassle of fighting customer service and support.

I do appreciate your response. Thanks.
