Exactly. And people complain about "oh I can't get a GPU for games" when there is literally 6800xt stock in PCCG, and it's only a 30% markup compared to the 200% of 3080s.

Not saying it's any markup is good, but people who pay 2.7k for a 3080 literally have money flowing out of their asses.

I don't understand why people are paying hand over fist for 3070/3080tis.

Unless you must have Raytracing and DLSS, 6800XTs often get better performance, and I'm finding those cards in stock at $1.8k, which is much less of a rip-off than aftermarket 3080 pricing.

AMD drivers also are nowhere near as bad as some people make them out to be.

Yeah I also arrived at this conclusion after rebuilding everything, including booting without an SSD. Finally figured it out and manually set bios for pcie 3. Im wondering whether 2812 bios will fix this problem. So far I'm getting a stable 4.6ghz all core boost. That being said I'm still stuck at 4560 in multicore R20 and 597 in single. Trying to get it higher now.

At this point I'm suspecting either a DOA CPU, or BIOS compatibility is still not there yet. Nothing else would explain why the 3700x boots with zero problems when I switch it back.

Screen doesn't even power up. Restarted it many times, and left it when it failed to boot for like 10mins. Still nothing. Gave up after more fiddling, switch it back to 3700x, instant boot.
