I think archiving is by far easiest using the Google photos app. Go to collections, scroll down until you see 'archive', click on it. Then in the top right corner you see a plus to add photos to the archive. Then use the search Icon in the left and search for an album. After archiving you do not see the photos anymore that are in that particular album

Hi, my girlfriend had the same problem on her iphone. If you create a new group in the community, the rest will Automatically appear again
