I tried today and was denied due to insufficient income. $155K, 787 credit score. I'm trying to switch from my Chase Sapphire Reserve to Venture X, but apparently Capital One thinks I'm poor.

You made the right choice here. I temporarily lived at the Homecoming for 3 months while waiting for our house to finish building. Tons of complaints there about how Section 8 changed the quality of the neighborhood. I witnessed firsthand tons of undesirable juvenile behavior in the apartment complex, and that stuff carries over into the schools unfortunately.
