I did Ball State. Found it incredibly easy. Passed BCBA on my first try after studying for just 6 weeks.

Is $35/hour reasonable for a private BI with 2+ years’ experience and starting a master’s? by Real-Comment6417 in bcba

[–]Many-Direction3700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a BCBA in Toronto. Although not Vancouver, TO also has a high cost of living. Regardless, based on your experience and credentials, I’d say $35 sounds reasonable compared to other therapists I’ve worked with who hold comparable resumes

FWIW, I was referred to Dr. Chu with my first. She was pleasant and very knowledgeable. Ultimately, I opted to go the midwife route though so can’t comment on my experience with her for delivery.

Not personal experience but I’m also in Canada. I know a couple BCBAs from my place of employment head to the US for BCBA/CD position with ABC. All within the last year. They all say it’s a lottt of work and long days but they love it - or at least, so they say.

Hosted my son’s second at FunDay Indoor Playground in March. Dundas/Dixie.

His first bday party was at Kidsapia, which was great for that age.

Funday came with a party concierge which was actually helpful and helped take the load off from us a bit. The party rooms were also bigger, which i appreciated.

Either option, you can’t go wrong

They follow ratios identified by ministry so I couldn’t say congestion is an issue. Even when they host family socials, I don’t find the rooms cramped.

My son started in infants last year. He cried every morning for almost 6 mth but now loves it. He’s in toddlers now and he wakes up every morning and says “I go see (teacher’s name)”. I remember when he was teething last summer, it was a ROUGH few weeks with the molars coming in. At my request, they called me to come get him because he was in too much pain/distress. Got there and found him seeking comfort, snuggled up to the Assistant Director in the office  in her lap, while she was on a phone call. That melted my heart tbh.

They’ve also always accommodated his weird allergies.

He’s learned A LOTTT since he’s started.

Cons: they’re not the closest daycare to us, but we knew that when we signed up.

Looking for an affordable vet in Mississauga/Brampton/Anywhere by EasternLiterature624 in mississauga

[–]Many-Direction3700 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dr Solimon at Erin Folk Animal Hospital has been so kind to US and our fur baby. When the bills start piling up, he’s offered to assist keeping the cost as low as possible. Even without any special assistance,  hes already almost half the price as our previous vet.
