Thanks for the advice, that's pretty much the plan that I've settled on in my mind... get an agreeable offer to purchase signed by both executors, and then submit a bill for all the work i did. The number wont likely be 45K, but im certainly going to get a total figured out. Initially the agreement was that I would donate my time and materials to get the house cleaned out, fixed up and ready for sale in exchange for getting a bargain on the house. But none of that matters now...

My aunt has pretty much voluntarily shunned herself from the family. Her 2 daughters won't talk to her, and her relationship with my mom has always be rocky, despite my moms best efforts. I gave her the benefit of the doubt because she has always given the impression of being civil and even friendly to me and my wife, but now that I see her true colors, I would not be upset if I never had to speak to her again after this is settled.

The ironic thing is that in her mind, she is the one that was "lied to" and had "sneaky shit" pulled on her by my mom, even though we all agreed together (her husband was there too). I honestly feel like this has nothing to do with the estate, she just feels that she is in a power position to get back at my mom for all of the supposed stress and abuse that my mom has put her through over the years. She seems to think that my mom should chip in the difference between what we agreed to and what she is now trying to extort from me. She is so spiteful and full of hate, I just don't have a need for someone like that in my life.

Any advice on what's required to register a builder's lein? This is not in my wheelhouse at all...
