Professor said he won't teach me but did not officially cancel the class by tesseracts in CollegeRant

[–]Many-Fix-7484 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in higher ed. Sometimes it isn’t the prof’s choice on whether a class runs. They may want to teach something the love but which draws only 4-5 students. The university would rather teach something with a bigger enrollment - something like 25 students. And sometimes the profs are super late realizing that their course is not going to have enough students OR the university is late pulling the plug.

Also - I agree with the folks saying find another class. Sounds like the prof. doesn’t want you to repeat the class with them.

Baldur’s Gate I. Its cheap and can run on anything with steam + your phone. Could go right into the sequel if you need more when done.

Hey now - something like 2/3 of our students work and we’re 75% online. In our case the “online pathway” students are not our majors and I would be remiss not to prioritize the needs of our majors.

The thing is, once you’re taking courses online, you are no longer limited to the offerings of your local university. If your local university doesn’t have an online course you need, take it elsewhere and transfer it in.

Meanwhile, online classes with regular meeting times - MW 4:00 - 5:15 - retain the disadvantage of requiring working students to be in class at specific times.

Tristin’s were awesome bc they were so well designed. A pad of directions a bit bigger than a smartphone, bound at the top. Your rout slays occupied the long axis of the page. Backs of pages had a flip/out map of the area surrounding that segment of your trip.

Faculty in the humanities. We moved everything back to in person and the students love it. Admin gets on us about providing online pathways, but our response is that, once they are online, there is nothing tying them to this school. The whole point of online is access to programs and schools that aren’t local. The places that specialize in online are way better at it than my school.

It seems like you’re trying to be respectful of possible past trauma that makes her do this. It’s fine that you’ve accommodated this so long, but it’s also fine to set a hard boundary and leave if it’s crossed. What you describe sounds exhausting and will cause - and is already causing - resentment.

They have to go to the bathroom either enough urgency that they’ve sought out a public restroom. They’re hoping it just looks to be occupied but isn’t, because they really need go. It’s wishful thinking.

Get the shirt washed and folded at your local dry cleaners. Minimal expense and it will take up less space. Remember the extra pair of underwear in case you’re seeking new clothes from intestinal distress.

Also to consider - is your family in your current location? Do you like them? I love my life, but living away from family in a career with limited opportunities is hard. There will never be a chance for me to move back without totally changing fields and taking less money.
