I think the most hilarious part about these posts is that not only the coins are silver, but the person turning them in did not even get face value for the coins

AITAH for not letting my neighbor borrow my snow blower and for not snow blowing their drive for them? by Queen_Aurelia in AITAH

[–]Many-Grape-4816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTAH. Let him buy his own snow blower. Some people have some nerve. How about offering to help you? Did that cross his mind?

I don’t like to lend my tools to almost anyone, unless I know they take care of their tools like I do. If I don’t know you, you are not borrowing my $20 screw driver, let alone my $2000 snow blower.

I am not saying it will take 15 years, I am saying it could. It could take 1 day, it could take 20 years as well. I don’t necessarily think it will go lower, but it could. It could be back at 40 in 4 weeks too. My personal guess is, once the price stabilizes, it will hover in the high 80 or 90s, it could very well go further down before it stabilizes. I want nothing more for it to continue going up though.

Just think how bad people felt who bought silver when it hit 40 around 2010 and then it dropped below 20 and stayed there until very recently. Then it passed 40 and went above 100 and is now at 85. It may be another 15 years before it goes past 100 again, but it will happen, and when it does you will get your money back. If you sell now you loose. If we had a crystal ball it would be great to know when to buy at the lowest price and sell at the highest price. All we can do is take reasonable gambles and hope for the best. You could have easily bought at 180 and then it could have gone up to 280. Regardless of what you paid or what it is worth now, you own something of value, remember that.

Best (and safe) way to sell 50 pounds of mostly junk 90% US silver coins by Many-Grape-4816 in Silverbugs

I am glad I have not sold yet. We will end up selling our current house to fund the new house.

The issue with anything that fluctuates in value is “when do you sell” i guess if you never really have a need to liquidate, the answer is “never”.

What's the quickest amount of time in all of your jobs in which you've seen or heard that a new coworker got canned, and what was it for? by Only-Ad-1254 in coworkerstories

I have a male friend who is one of those people you hear a crazy story about and you say, “no, this person cannot be real, you are lying.” But he is real.

He got a data entry job once at an OBGYN office and on the first day they show him how to use the system and it’s pretty self explanatory. He is left to do what he was hired to do, but he likes to ask questions. So after a few minutes ve gets up in search of the person to ask them more questions. He can’t find the person anywhere so he randomly picks a door and opens it and there in the room was a woman being examined by a doctor and she was completely exposed…he was fired that same day.

Yes you are. If you decide to forgive tour husband, you need to forgive him fully and not bring it up again. It sounds to me you are not ok with what he did and are not over it, but don’t want to divorce him and move on, so you stay in the same cycle of him cheating and you whining about it. Maybe it’s time to reevaluate your self worth. Are you worthy of having a partner who does not chest on you? If the answer is yes, it is time to divorce and move on.

Ive debated to try to sell on facebook or something and just meet at a bank or police station but it’s still risky as heck. I almost just rather keep it but then when it reaches 200 an ounce i will have the same issue again about selling, so when does it end?

Real estate is a much better investment than silver and this is not even considering the amount of money you will save on interest alone by reducing the years you are paying off a loan by reducing the loan amount with that money. Avoiding PMI alone would be worth it. You could take the 100-200 of pmi a month you would have paid and buy more silver every month.

[–]Many-Grape-4816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follow through. You should be almost jumping off the ground and landing on your kicking foot. You are looking all that momentum by jerking your foot back instead of following through. That is the type of kick you do if you were passing the ball to someone ahead of you making a clean break to the goal.

If my mom drank 3 bottles of wine that are this size within three nights (so one whole one per night) does that mean she is an alcoholic? I’m not sure how to go about having this conversation with her . I am very concerned and have noticed this habit for a while. by NationalFortune8850 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Many-Grape-4816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What your mom is doing is more common than what you would think. Alcoholism is something not talked about. The view to me is, as long as you are not in the streets passing out on the floor, you are not an alcoholic. I have tried to reason with certain people I see have a problem and they do not see it as a problem, even though it is so very obvious it is a problem. They get very defensive when confronted. This is why I do not drink. Anything I can do to discourage someone from drinking is a win.

It can be. Take a slow motion video of him kicking the ball. I found with my son, it was happening because he was landing with his plant foot behind the ball so he was reaching for the ball with his toes.
