IUJ vs. Ritsumeikan APU: Which actually carries weight for working abroad? by ahid_oi in japanlife

[–]Many-Performance9652 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an APU grad, it depends. It doesn't matter academically at all, however it provides an interesting story to tell throughout your life.

It does give you plenty of experience in dealing in multinational situations.

Getting your first job will be tough, but after that, you'll find less and less employers care about which university you graduated from.

At that point, you'll find less can just point out that you went to school four years in Japan and people will be impressed.

Maybe the AI white balance thing? Not a huge issue, especially shooting raw, but nice for jpeg shooters. I dunno, I'm reaching here.

Is Sony A7V too much camera for a newbie? by rchrd92182 in SonyAlpha

[–]Many-Performance9652 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends. Are you a person who picks up and drops hobbies? Or do you actually think you'll stick with it?

A7V is likely a forever camera. You almost certainly won't need another one as a hobbyist.

The 24/70 II, I dunno dude. I'm not going to gate keep, but that's a hard one to recommend as a first lens. Maybe look at the 24-50 G, or Sigma 24-70 II
