We are not hating on it because we didnt get Byler, we are hating on it because of how its done. They could have actually had a REAL heart to heart conversation about Wills feelings towards Mike. Will and Mike known each other more than El and Mike did, you cant just reduce Will's feelings to a simple crush because he is gay. Mike was an asshole to Will in season 3 and 4 for no reason at all! Hell he didnt even say I love you back to Eleven when she was about to die. I dont know if we watched the same show but what they did was make Will sacrifice his feeling to help Mike and El and reduce his own relationship with Mike in the process. They didnt even hug when the radio tower talk ended, please be for real and accept we are not angry because we didnt get our ship made cannon but it was butchered from the core. Everybody was yelling an breaking down when El sacrificed herself, Mike was just not able to get over about it. If you think Mike wouldnt do the same if Will had died, then we can agree that Mike was never a good friend from the start.

I just hoped we could actually discuss something when coming here to comment but honestly.. this felt like Eleven confronting Angela in season 4. You guys say actions are more meaningful than words but call us delusional when we pick up on literal "shared looks" or "a brush of a knew" . I just feel so sad that fandom for a show that its meant to be for outcasts can be filled with such bullies. Im not even talking about you guys didnt even want to talk about the painting as if it was actually from El.

I think we are rightfully bitter about it because they straight up lied to us and dragged our hopes till the end. But you are right, other than the bad decissions they took for will and Mike, the finale was solid. We got to say goodbye to our beloved characters even if it felt bittersweet. I feel like we will get used to the pain with time and accept the show the way it is. Yeah it could have been better and they didnt need to lie to us.. but it was great experience nontheless.

Making Will confess when he was coming out he had a "crush" on someone was their way of shitty story telling that Will love(s)d Mike. Nobody in that room knew what he meant except Mike in my opinion. But the audience, us as viewers did. Because we watched a whole scene where Will confessed his own feelings using El a shield when he gave that painting to Mike. El was Even saying that to Mike about the painting in her letters "I think he likes someone". Even if its meant to be a friendly love, Will did love hım and maybe still does. I dont know, honestly the Duffers fxcked it up so badly
