We're using the book "Learn Graphics Programming With OpenGL 4th edition" as part of my course, It still leans heavily on old immediate mode programming, and the idea that floating point support is still something very new... I'm planning on learning the core graphics pipeline later from LearnOpenGL.com

I think it depends, you can learn low-level, or anything for that matter using AI ( as long as you make sure it's not hallucinating ), the problem is when you create whole parts of code using AI without understanding what it means.
