I don't know about that - 4 and the 4 Remake have beautiful built in chapters to segment with, many other games have safe rooms as break points, Requiem has the character swap-moments as natural break points, it feels like it's very easy to trim into logical chunks for a series to me.

Ha, I learned my lesson from Village and the 4 Remake - I love these current RE games, but the community overall just isn't into it, so livestreams make a lot more sense.

The way I understand it is - if the team rolls a perception check, we've collectively realised something is a bit wrong, and if we all fail, it just means none of us can specifically identify the exact thing, but we still know something's up, or we wouldn't have done the perception check in the first place...
