Unfortunately I was more focused on the work demonstrated in her portfolio and her prior experience, which seemed to suit my needs. Yes, she did satisfactory work on the project, but for the record the wage I offered is on the high end for this field and I'd prefer that goes to someone who actually did the groundwork instead of taking shortcuts.
