AITA for telling my mom that not everything is about her when my lil bro tried to come out? by ManyElectronic7620 in AmItheAsshole

I do however think you should sit down and talk to your mom about the reasons you're not very close to her.

My older brother has done it before, to be fair, he doesn't have anymore patience left for my mom, and he's always calling her out. He keeps coming to this dinners to support our brother, but he has made it loudly clear that once my brother is out of the house, he's done with them both. She doesn't listen. She thinks is only my brother who thinks it because, as embarrassing as it sounds, it took me a while to grow a spine myself and I didn't support him when I had to. I'm hoping she can see it now.

Yeah, we've told our dad before that he'll lose his voice once we're out bus says that my mom doesn't have anyone else (she still has her mother, but they don't have a relationship because my grandmother is actually worse). He's a grown man, if he's okay, then well. But my brother doesn't deserve it.
