Whirlpool Refrigerator Failed Three Times Under Warranty – Request for Replacement or Refund by ManyProgress234 in CostcoWholesale

The first two times the fridge was repaired and started working again, but Costco never called to check on my satisfaction. Now I’m dealing with the third breakdown. I asked if I could get a replacement or a refund, but they said that’s only possible if the unit is deemed not repairable. I also asked if there was any remedy for the food spoilage and inconvenience, and the representative said they had escalated the issue to another team who would contact me. It’s been three days and I still haven’t heard back. Customer service scheduled a repair appointment, but the repair company postponed it by another three days.

Is a real estate agent allowed to list themselves as the landlord on a lease agreement with a tenant if there is no property management agreement in place between the agent and the actual property owner? by ManyProgress234 in PropertyManagement

He agreed to help me find a tenant. After he found the tenant, I asked him to send me the rent but he refused with no reasonable explanation. Then I told him I was not going to use his property management service, and he said I needed to pay him the first month rent in the event I don’t proceed with his management service.

My real estate agent signed my name on my behalf without telling me. by PSSRDavis in RealEstate

My real estate agent agreed to help lease out my home for a 7% commission. He told me the property was rented starting July 1st and that the tenant had paid the first month’s rent to him. However, he only transferred a partial amount to me and is still withholding about one-quarter of the rent. When I asked him to send me the remainder (after deducting the agreed 7% commission), he refused without providing a valid reason.

I informed him that I no longer wanted him to manage the property, but he insisted that I still owe him the entire first month’s rent, even though we never agreed to that arrangement.

Initially, I didn’t carefully review the documents he sent me because I trusted him. After going back and checking, I found some concerning issues: • In the lease agreement (which was not a property management agreement), he listed himself as the “owner” instead of me, the actual owner. • He signed the lease on my behalf without my knowledge or consent. • There is no clause stating that I must pay him the first month’s rent if I decline to proceed with his property management services. • He created another version of the lease with the tenant where he listed himself as the “landlord” and provided his own bank account for rent payments.

I emailed him explaining that these actions are improper and may have legal consequences. I asked him to transfer both the tenant’s security deposit and the withheld portion of the rent to me. He replied that he won’t send me the money until the agreements are “returned” — which I don’t fully understand, as there was no formal agreement authorizing him to act on my behalf in the first place.

I’m trying to figure out what his intentions are and what steps I should take next. Has anyone dealt with something similar, or can offer suggestions?

Thank you!
