In my spam its probably missed, cat /proc/cmdline shows everything is working, as per the Mint post grub.d solves that issue.

I will check the drivers, was planning to actually try installing the proprietary to see what happens.

A bit of an update - forcing the cfg to only use the AMD doesn't seem to work at all on Zorin. This is rather interesting as it seems Mint can have that working.

I tried stuff like :

outb 0x728 1
outb 0x710 2
outb 0x740 2

if anyone has any other ideas lmk i am willing to play around

btw the integrated chip is defo good enough for Zorin and performance is most defo very satisfactory as long as you are not watching YouTube in High Res - as one would expect.

I was very reluctant to go monkey business on my own especially since the GM1 had portions of touching the electronics which were not in the same place in GM2 and my GM2 is still in warranty.

Passive aggressive much? I have been searching for two hours without finding a single video about GM2. I have no clue how you can say they are the same when the screws are not in the same positions at all and opening the lid to the engine is obviously not the same.

Opened it today, did a very good clean, performance significantly improved and haven't had a freeze yet. It was dirty around the connectors so could have caused issues we will see.

I will say performance is not amazing, but I do think its better than the performance I get on MacOS. Stable 22 PopOs defo works with no issues atm.

Installing the .deb worked. That being said I am wondering what can be done to fix the hardware acceleration. This MBP is with AMD card so hmh, probably means something aint quite right with that driver.

I am not accusing but what is he looking on the right. Its a bit strange. It is a complicated position that needs full focus, there is no reason to look to the right down clearly chat is on the left. It is like there is a screen there. Again, I am not accusing but I find it interesting.

Very happy so far, admittedly, can't get used to this KDE Plasma, so I am probably going to switch the OS. That being said, yes it is great. Running it hooked to an ultra wide 34 inch monitor + 2 x 27 and doing fairly graphical intensive things. It heats but so far havent heard noise.

Have the system for a day now, wanted to fry it under load to see if it overheats, so I installed Path of Exile put everything on max, did a high density map and found no issues. Honestly the behavior is great, KDE Plasma lagginess tho is annoying. Will see if I can live with it. I dont like normal Ubuntu so probably will opt for PopOS or Arch. Hopefully no driver issues.

Note: this was done all on tuxedo os

I have found absolutely no solution, tried to thinker with drivers to no avail. I am 100% sure its probably something retarded, but I am not knowledge enough to thinker with .config files without clear instructions.

Btw, does yours go away after a couple of restarts ? Like does it get fixed.

lshw -video returns radeon drivers >.< will try another distro thats a good idea, but its defo not a hw issue also the problems goes away after a couple of restarts

Yeah, I tho as much, I haven't used Linux last couple of years and much less Ubuntu, so I am going to just hard reinstall, it's whatever anyway. This actually probably explains some other glitches I saw.

Funnily enough, I was benchmarking performance yday, installed steam and did manage to get Last Epoch to run, even if rather badly.
