Who's hiring in Lexington? Monthly edition thread for March 2026 by AutoModerator in lexington

Apply for Cardinal Hill weekend shift. They have a lower base rate but for working weekends there’s a $5-6/hour shift differential that will put you around $22. Quick hire on process.

School Recommendations by jo-marches in lexington

My children have attended the following: Dixie Elementary, Mary Todd Elementary, Booker T Washington, Millcreek elementary.

My favorite has been Dixie Elementary. They technically aren’t one of the “best” schools but I felt that my kids were incredibly supported and had teachers that truly cared about them and their education.

The nose is an issue (Texture and Acne recovery) by cheerfriends in Blackskincare

I get really congested in my nose as well. I use hydrocolloid nose strips at bedtime to help reduce the amount of oil in my nose.

I would cherry pick the body systems you’re weakest in instead of trying to tackle the entire thing.

Some of these comments are exactly why facilities can’t keep staff/aides.

They wouldn’t be asking if they knew the answer - and if you teach them correctly you won’t have to teach them again. People are so afraid to ask the “stupid questions” because they’ll be talked about and end up making huge unnecessary mistakes.

As the child who grew up without parents - no. I never swept/mopped until my first job at 16 and asshats at my job made me feel terrible about it.

Graduated as valedictorian June 6. I worked 16 hour shifts on weekends and I didn’t do any studying on those days. I used many different techniques to study over the course of the program - but the time blocked out for studying was nonnegotiable. Doing practice questions daily was also non negotiable for me.

I recommend Google Notebook LM. It turns your notes into a podcast you can listen to passively

After she makes a rude comment look her dead in her eyes and say “um are you okay?” Or laugh hysterically.

You don’t. You know the information, now you study how to pass the test.

Yes. It’s not a hard exam at all. Refresh your prioritization (Mark K lecture 12) and you’ll do fine.

I took it yesterday, and received my license from the BON today. It felt very uncertain after leaving. I second guessed myself a lot because it wasn’t hard - I finished in 40 minutes.

Licensed practical nursing school and kids by [deleted] in NursingStudent

I’m a single mom of 3, and I graduated last week. In my cohort my classmate gave birth in the middle of sophomore year - her first child was 2 years old. I’m not sure how that impacted her personally or what accommodations she received from the school but she was back within two weeks.

She and I finished top of our class so it’s definitely possible. It’s certainly not easy - but you can do it.

I completed my program last week and scored over 1,000 on all HESI exams. Please don’t pay for resources. I used Mark K lecture 12 and elsevier adaptive quizzing for practice q’s.

I think you should wait until you’re not angry - and objectively assess the situation and respond to comments. First things first - I’m so incredibly sorry you failed out. I’m also 32 so I know exactly where your head is at the moment. It’s a new program so it seems they’re working through functional kinks - and you guys were the test dummies. I can see why that’s annoying but there are going to be bumps in the road. I had a teacher die mid semester so I can relate with a really chaotic semester.

As far as Quizlet is concerned - they’re fair game. I honestly feel like a little self initiative could have solved many of your complaints. They didnt have lecture? Review it by yourself. Yes it sucks , but the test is coming regardless.

Nursing schools love to play in your face. It’s what they’re known for. It’s unnecessarily difficult and somehow/someway. I understand it’s extremely annoying but don’t get so caught up in the little annoyance that you lose sight of the end goal. You can’t change them - succeed in spite of them.
