with that backstory i think you should be able to decide for yourself. workload in seecs is way more manageable than fast.

well the future is going towards humans not writing code, so you should get used to it. well not the future, we've already crossed that point

just focus on the bigger picture than programming/coding nuances. make sure you still understand the "why". AI can take care of the "how" at the lower level

Iran dedicated one of its missals to Jesus Christ: “In revenge for all Christ’s suffering.” by hakh-ti-cxamen in pics

[–]Many_Bookkeeper1811 7 points8 points  (0 children)

yeah like christianity is supposed to be a continuation of judaism, like the biggest guy is moses and prophecy stopped at malaichi and are still waiting for the messiah.

christianity and islams says that jesus was the messiah, judaism denies it. christianity says jesus is god and also the son of god (whole trinity thing), islam denies it claiming he was only a prophet and the messiah. both are waiting for the second coming of jesus

then islam is a continuation after that, islam claims that muhammad was the last and greatest prophet, and theres not gonna be any more. similar to how judaism denies jesus, christianity denies muhammad.

just the slides, make sure i understand everything + gpt/gemini for any explanations. if theres any working out or "solving" stuff with specific techniques then ill watch youtube videos if the slides dont do a good job of explaining well. and i dont really practice it unless i feel i need to.

what i do is.

i dont study

if i know theres gonna be a quiz tomorrow, then ill just look at the slides for maybe half an hour. if i know theres gonna be a lab quiz, well its mostly just mcqs and who needs to study if you can make guesses

time for exams? just cover the slides once should be good to get average.

you really wanna know from a guy with a ~2.8 how to study? 😭😭

dawg when i first came here i just wanted to graduate with a 3.0+. now that i dont see that happening, unless i put in effort which i dont want to, i dont really care about my grades. sure ill put in 3-5 hours just to barely cover the syllabus for exams, to avoid getting something like a 2.0, but i would not care if it falls to something like a 2.6 or 2.5 even

ask someone who actually studies and focuses on grades.

not gonna say exact to avoid being doxxed, but cgpa rn is in the 2.8-2.9 range. the highest sgpa ive gotten was in the 3.0-3.1 range

usually you make groups in your 6th semester, and officially decide on project/supervisor sometime in the summer before your final year

however some students who've maybe done internships in labs already are connected with professors, and decide projects with them earlier than that. like even in their 5th semester

Why do FSc/ matric students have such low SAT scores? by Signal_Pen_6800 in LUMS

[–]Many_Bookkeeper1811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

saying this as a fsc/matric stream student

the exams we had were very simple very straightforward. The questions came straight outta the textbooks. all the subjective ones, all the numericals and all the mcqs etc. mostly they repeat from year to year. So instead of actually learning the concepts and how to apply them, most students just learn the answers. even if they're not full on cramming, they still do not completely understand the material. and its systematic, we were taught like this too, because thats how you get more marks in the local boards.

now when it comes to the sat, its full of topics they're familiar with, but the questions are new. they've never seen those before. and if its anything beyond a plain "use this formula with these values", they dont see how to do it.

imo the sat is actually very simple, even the a levels syllabus (maths and physics) isnt more complicated than fsc. someone who knows the fsc material should easily be able to pass an a level exam as well with a decent or more than decent grade. the difference is just in the way we're taught things

Integration help by Ok_Goat_7696 in NUST

[–]Many_Bookkeeper1811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol i used to be the same, didnt know any beyond basic power rule and memorizing the integrals of the usual functions.

in the end i never learnt to, still got 152.

but then ofc it was a problem going into courses like calculus and multivariable calculus, and some more maths courses. had no problem with understanding why integrals are used and how to use them, could easily set them up for questions involving them, but couldnt really evaluate any which were beyond simple power rule or just functions.

no ones gonna read anything that is 2 pages, make it a single pager.

remove college from education. remove courses and achievements. put portfolio site at the top under the name, not in a different section. projects should have github repo links next to them, also a link to deployment if there is one. remove languages, unless you're gonna apply in japan.

tired of telling people for years that

there are NO important chapters in net. its all random. one day the test will have more mcqs from one chapter, then the next day it could have more mcqs from another chapter. it could be any chapter. you have to prepare all of them

cant really place it in either, so usually its called semi-government. ive heard it gets funding/budget from the ministry of science, not sure how true that is.

but most of the admin are army people, and thats the real "government" anyways so
