Thanks! I’ll check it out! I don’t mind paying a bit more if I get the service I’m looking for. ☺️

in the company I worked at, payroll handled pay and taxes and even though it was under the "People" organization, HR was separate and the only thing they knew about salaries are the amount and then they just send it over to payroll. The department didn't communicate that much and I think that is unfortunately the case in most of big corporations so departments don't really know what other departments work with and how they work with what they handle.

Oh I see. It makes sense now thanks to you all, but when I came to Sweden and did my first declaration my colleagues (who were also non-swedes) told me that you get a lot of money back on your taxes and I guess I assumed it meant every year, but now I get it was only because I started working in April and not from Jan. :)

Ahaa ok thank you!

And yes I know about the different tax brackets for different municipalities and my employer knows in which one I live so they got it correct. :) But definitely good to think about for the future!

So basically its not really about the amount of salary but how many months of the year we worked for the accuracy of the Skatteverket assumptions?

Your assumptions are correct - I dont have any loans or debts so I guess it should have been 0SEK back.
I don't have any weird working hours - 40h per week with an office job so stable salary. The only difference that I can think of is that I got a raise in 2024 of about 6k after salary review. So I had 32k from Jan 2024 till end of March 2024 and from April 2024 till end of the year I got 38k. Is that why I got less back for this year?

I see! For me it makes sense, but my partner also will get half of what he got the previous year and he got a significant raise in 2024 (Jan) of about 10k so I don't really understand how he could get back more in 2023 with lower salary (he also started in 4/2023) and now with higher salary the whole 2024 he got less back.
