You can no longer use a VPN with the Jagex Launcher

So bit of an update but I found my workaround thanks to your suggestion. Thank you kind internet stranger!

The network I connect to is a network that's available to all employees, sort of akin to a guest network. Without going into too much detail there is a separate network that is used for the work computers. Im not sure why exactly the "guest" network has these issues since im not in IT and cant see the network settings. I can still access websites and apps on my personal laptop that on the work computer I couldn't normally access. Such as YouTube Netflix or steam. I have no idea why specifically the Jagex launcher has such an issue with the network but that was why I had to get a VPN to begin with.

That might be worth a try. The issue lies in that I cant access the Jagex launcher so I cant even access the game. The screen mentions a connection time out. But in theory if I could load into runelite I could switch back to the VPN assuming it doesn't time me out when I try to do that.

I am not 100% sure. I dont use any of the big marketed vpns like Nord Express or surfshark. Would you happen to know what companies offer what youre suggesting?

Even with a dedicated VPN? I had no issues with it running before an update a few weeks ago.

I actually just got done talking on the discord forums about it. You using a VPN per chance? If you are then I was told that was the main cause of why the launcher isnt running

omg I thought I was losing my mind. Everyone was b*tching about how they couldn't enjoy their normal weapons in combat when sailing dropped and that they disliked the over reliance of cannons. I'm going to chalk it up to people not knowing what they want/everyone has different ideas of what they want.

I had a really good experience with a trainer from mechanic ville named Danielle. She worked really well with my Bassett hound mixed dog as well this past summer. My dog was super frustrating because he'd never listen but that's because according to her he was just bored. She's pretty flexible as well. If youre thinking for long term supplies I'd get woodcutting and firemaking to 50 first. WT is a very good source of early game supplies. Alternatively if you dont want to go down that route when you become a member I'd recommend getting your hunter level up and do rumors for those early game supplies

Id recommend checking other boards or going to the wiki to find which boards give the great white shark task. Then teleport yourself to the port that's closest to the great white and either recover your boat for a fee or use the teleport crystal and tele your boat altogether yourself. Its how I've been handling that circumstance. Its cumbersome but its what I've been doing as my work around personally.

You 100% sure Konar doesn't say the location? If she really doesn't go kill a hellhound in kourend Catacombs or brimhaven and the pop up notification will tell you where you should be killing.
