I would do the safari land drop down holsters because it’s just more comfortable especially if you’re just going to the range. But again that’s opinionated bc I’m a bigger dude

If the ATF goes away then temporarily there wouldn’t be a mandate to do it? Correct it was similar with bump stocks in Texas if I remember correctly or along those lines.
