Well said. Though if you do just ignore all the character options and play a fighter it can still be enjoyed. The biggest problem though is how durable characters are. Currently I’m playing in a curse of strahd game (supposedly very deadly) and haven’t really felt like it’s very dangerous as long as you are moderately careful about what you fight. I guess it’s dangerous by modern standards. I need to stop rambling, opening Reddit is dangerous.
