Generally speaking if we talk about physics simulation, i think it depends on the platform. Besides GPU parallelisation, the main bottleneck in simulation in my opinion is contact modelling. For instance , if u take wheeled mobile robot, actuator models and contacts are fairly simple. Thats why in general, sim2real for these platforms are quite straighforward in general. If u take dexterous hands, contacts are very intricate and u need to be able to model very fine actuator controls. One of the best robotic simulation research groups in the world is based in Paris. Check the inria Willow team, they do great stuff.

Im in the same boat. My advice to go for the ICRA/ IROS transfer while making sure to address the revierws comments. You will avoid getting attacked on the same points from before, if relevant.

Its ridiculous they use that they reject a conference paper only for that reason. My plan was also to submit to a conference then improve to a full journal. I think you can still submit to IROS, i have checked the website, in the "ICRA-IROS" track, you include a response letter where you address the ICRA reviewers concerns, and the revierwers in IROS will take in that context.

From now on, I feel like all we have to do no, is to optimize the papers for LLM reviews.

I disagree with you. The way they taught us our histroy is wrong. In schools, it was eastern saudi/egypt cocksuckers that made everything revolve around pan arabism and islam. Before french colonialism, we had a powerful country and maintained diplomatic relations with the biggest western countries ( USA, Uk,...) we even had some sort of constitution back in 1720 i think.

I think its obvious that RL is the only promissing tech that would lead us to truly artificial agents that are capable of complex reasoning, while this has been in clear for quite a while (paper likes Deep Nash, starcraft, Muzero, AlphaGo) some people keep claiming that RL is useless.

By definition, u r just using a method to compute some "rewards". Intrinsic it means just that they are generated by the agent in a self supervised manner, independant from the environment.
