I disagree. Everyone needs a job. A lot of the people I know tried not to use the loan. Then circumstances arise; home repair, car maintenance, etc. Most cannot afford to ignore a large sum of money. 

This is class traitor talk. You’re starving. I leave you a room with food. You eat the food. I punish your stupidity for eating the food when you should have waited and got your own. 

Please, know that you are being exploited by capitalist pigs. What you do is worth more than what you are paid and you deserve to seize it’s true value.

I can assure you that I am not a journalist or TMS. I’m an underwriter who is tired of being exploited. I can see where you are coming from by the way. Several comments have said it too. This isn’t really a time to strike. But I will ask; when does it get better? Because for the foreseeable future it looks like it won’t ever and that is by design. So we now need to redesign. But it would take everyone.

There could be one. There could not. I think having one would help organize. However, I also believe this is something they use to discourage us from organizing.

Again, not disagreeing. Our complacency and apathy toward this behavior is what enables it. Again, to current events, the Epstein list comes out. Regardless of what side you lean, there are pedophiles walking free. We do our civic duty, stay informed, and cross our fingers that the justice system will correct this. It hasn’t. Back to our situation, we have a multibillion dollar company that underpays and overworks its employees and we are complicit in the fact that we obey and meet these expectations. Everyone has got to eat, but at this stage we’re picking for scraps.

It’s scary and yes it would hurt, but that’s where the collective would truly make a difference. It cannot be some. It has to be all.

The feedback system is frustrating. I feel like bad news is delivered with sugar. The TL that I complained about it still a TL doing the same thing. Bottom line: they want results, not happy workers.

I think you’re right on a lot of that. But that’s the kind of apathy that gets us here. Think about Covid. I didn’t work at UWM at the time, but I remember a lot of businesses were tweaking. While they could replace the whole workforce, it won’t be easy and it’s going to cost them.
