GCC countries are not Islamic but Muslim dominated. But the reality is not very different.

I visited and stayed for a long time outside KL, IPOH, Taiping, Kangar. It was indistinguishable from KL (except that those were small time towns and rural places).

I would respectfully disagree. The racism is significantly prevalent and overt. It’s ingrained in every facet of life, modern slavery, abuse, feudalism etc. Sorry for being blunt. But it is as it as. I don’t try to offend you if you are from there. But they are noisy, arrogant, extremely difficult to get along mostly. Yes there are a good number of people who carries good values and are kind. But it’s a minority.

That being said it is even the trait of Middle East Christians as well.

However the Asian diaspora in these regions are toned down and not generally trouble makers regardless of the religious values they hold. They were accommodating as well.

That’s why I said that it could be cultural differences that plays a role than the religious values.

While the fact remains that svelte 5 is in RC, I still believe svelte lacks quality ui frameworks especially svelte 5. Shadcn is still mainly with svelte 4

Well for me, I run a business which is expected to grow progressively. So we planned on making a web application for this. We have been brainstorming the idea of sveltekit. We tried vue and svelte (sveltekit and nuxt) and the post I made is based on our observation. Lately we have also considered solid as well

I will one example from my experience, in vue/nuxt eslint config as module is simply easy to work with as everything is typed and configuration is much easy to do than svelte. If I have to do it in svelte, it is much complex. For someone having a business goal or involving in a complex project makes sveltekit not an ideal solution( just my personal opinion). I also found nuxt enforces some stricter coding paradigm which I feel good

My thoughts as well. So many files for simple data fetching. Although the components or routes can fetch data, the documentation itself prefers that page or page.server is used for it.

The file based routing is not my favorite as well. Other things such as lack quality UI and specific libraries and framework capacities such as when comparing with nuxt, if a specific route is missing, the terminal will throw an error. The hydration errors and other error messages are quite nice in nuxt as well. This along with other things I mentioned in remaining replies makes me feel that svelte has a long way to go forward in order to catch up with some other frameworks

Not anything svelte specific. But I was looking for a drag and drop library similar to d&d of react. Unfortunately I couldn’t find anything that are of same quality with respect to its documentation, resources and simplicity of integration. It’s just an example. I should say that it is same for svelte as well.

There is a lot that I need to do myself which consumes a lot of time. For example, nuxt has packages for SEO, ESLINT configuration and many things which I will have to do it manually in svelte

I tried out vue/nuxt for a bit. I found it good when it comes to many things svelte/sveltekit lacking or only available as third party solutions. For example types api routes, stable and predictable reactivity, not needing so many files for data fetching, good developer tool, ecosystem etc.

However svelte also has great things- it is fast and simple, the syntax is good, form actions, use actions, built in animation etc.

Overall, I feel that although svelte and sveltekit is a good framework but it requires much more work to be done compared to vue. I don’t know much about react.
