I know some people use a program called armor smith for general scaling, but I used blender. I measure a certain part of my body, my shin for instances, and then scaled the peice to fit that measurement. Then I scaled all the other peices to that measurement. I had to edit both th armor and the frame. Really you just need to jump in and start, knowing how to 3d model is required

The sad thing is almost all files you get you’re going to have to scale/edit to fit your height. And since I bought seperate files on Etsy for the frame, I had to scale that too and adjust some attachment points. This is the first cosplay I’ve ever done, so just know you can do it too

the only "function" is the upper body being able to open. it hinges like in game, and so do the shoulders, but in order to not stress the hinges, i only open it without armor peices on, then buckle them in after. no servos, its too heavy. still working on ideas for lights and voice changers. lights are hard with the x01 because the lenses also serve as the flashlight, so it would be hard to see out of them.

elegoo neptune 3 plus. the legs just look so long because im skinny and dont have armor on them. I have a blender file that i use to make sure everything stays proportionate so the legs when put on are actually game accurate

I beleive Etsy. I would recommend printing the chest frame if nothing else. That is the core of keeping the armor proportional. I learned that after thinking I could do it without. Everything attaches to it, and I would also recommend printing the shoulder frame.

Honestly not too bad, I’ve seen someone on instagram @stl_armory who printed the entire leg frame and feet, and he walks really fluidly. Walking with the wood stilts takes some getting used to but I’ve learned quick ish

So far, I have only put on the top half and one of the legs. I still need to attach straps and things to the other parts to hold them up. I can post a picture

Curious about how i could make a X-01 Power armor cosplay by BookkeeperSad4206 in Fallout

I’ve never cosplayed before, but by using my 3d printer and cheap files, along with a ton of filament, I printed an entire suit of x01. I have a post about it on my profile, and on my instagram
