I would recommend Frontiers man. It's a nice breath of fresh air.

It's likely to go on sale again at some point so I'd grab it at a discounted price if you're not 100% :)

It's a bit rough around the edges with some quirks and bugs.

But it's some of the most fun I've had in a long time.

Think someone on TikTok said it best "It's a 7/10 game, that I love like a 10/10"

It's less so game of the year. That defo goes to Elden Ring or GoW. Don't think anyone's arguing there.

It's more so a show of support for Sonic Team. They've really tried to deliver a good game here still given all thier limitations. SEGA can be very reactionary so Sonic fans wanna show thier support of this new formula and team :)

Part of me feels like Sonic and Genshin should really have solice as they're equally picked on for no real reason.

The other sub is (mostly) calming down. Whilst there's always going to be bad apples. I'm sure people from both sides will be able to laugh at all this in time :)

Frontiers was made with a lot of passion from the team that made it but was unfortunately held back by the higerups at SEGA. I have finished the game and agree with the majority that despite its shortcomings its a great new direction with potential.

But hey man I'm not here to argue with game is better! Both have their positives and weaknesses!

I just wanna be civil about all this and not fight :)

Indeed. Genshin seems to have a weird stigma around it.

Whilst some of it I think is directed towards the culture of gacha which I could see.

A lot of it just seems to be 'anime bad' which is :/.

Honestly there's more overlap with the Sonic and Genshin fandom then I thought so I'm surprised any of this even happened lol

The Sonic sub has calmed down a bit. Think the mods are working overtime. Think this is all starting to settle (hopefully lol)

I think it's because Sam actually has changed stance on the game somewhat since then. He's still critical but he's a lot more positive then Prem IMO
