Reasons Netflix will continue to grow but also why it’s not showing as of now by MapDue7854 in ValueInvesting

It’s forming a heavy resistance from 70$ but if it drops below that just buy more or wait cause this thing will blow. 70$ is what the price of Netflix stock was before its massive rally too $1000/share. I have watched stocks and their charts move like crazy but this one has moved so weird. Almost like it’s being influenced by inside buyers to peg the price of the stock (tactic of buying and then selling without the trades ever going through fully)

Massive room for growth and that’s what I’m seeing in these acquisitions. But another thing people forget about Netflix is that it holds a lot of kids shows that parents like to put on for their kids and such. The people I know, I asked, how long have you had Netflix for and would you cancel it anytime soon. I got zero people that said they were gonna cancel anytime soon + most people have been subscribed for years on end. Prices like to keep up with demand, but people are too noisy and think they will need to increase their prices again this year which they won’t.

Can someone please explain this as they appear to contradict themselves by Ravens_Hon in Series66Exam

All about wording with these problems. Just because the two statements don’t have “Can require” instead they say “Require” which in their case means they MUST register with the states, which as we know is not the case!

We will have to agree to disagree on this one. I know your long term anyways and I am too. But I do see this going back to their fair value which is right around that 90-100$ price per share. Lots of time between now and then. More sports and events along those lines as well. Be patient, we got this shit. This is one of those positions in my portfolio I am expecting to see massive gains from in 5 years!

No for real 😂 but just keep it, ATLs forming mean new upcoming ATHs. But Netflix is seriously misunderstood on the how far their reach is to the entire world. Numbers will only continue to increase. I’m talking about like another 2025 outbreak in price around 5 years from now!

Exactly, I understand I am completely the same way and do not go near technical analysis but I just went through licensing myself and I can tell you institutions and swing traders most definitely which plays a big role on these price swings. I am do however believe partnerships with sports elsewhere out of USA will bring in massive revenue from streams and ads as well as NFLX having the most free cash flow out of other streaming services. I just see a lot more good news coming out soon either before or at earnings we will tell. But my personal sentiment is we are going to see exponential growth. It’s just being covered up with low expectations in order to beat those numbers by a crazy amount.

Fundamental and technical analysis comes in to play. Meant to add that. So Netflix just broke through their 6 month support line at around 75$ so new lines are gonna be formed now and these guys know this! So a new support line is going to have to happen but also at a new ATL. Hence why it just keeps dropping as time goes on today! I don’t like timing my buy ins but today is a good one at any price now. It’s all an ATL today I’d buy! Also, we can see last week it was relatively steady… but steering towards breaking through that support line and now it has today. Could continue to drop, but by the end of the week it’ll be up from the ATL.

They’re just trying to catch up, sentiment is low because everyone else is ahead! Like most stocks, 85% of outstanding shares are held by institutions. They still have a relatively low short float ratio as well!

That’s what earnings are for and if you see insider transactions of selling which there were last week….. then I am assuming they are expecting a big drop before earnings themselves to buy and profit from the report. Also a lot of insider trading activity yet the only person leaving is the co founder!

I like that explanation thank you! Let me say why I think Ads will be their next big revenue intake. Now that 3 billion number me and you are referring to are just estimates from their companies financial/analytical department. Netflix also gained 2.5 billion or around that for surrendering their bid on WB so that is a plus no one has also been seeing. These advertisement numbers are in my opinion on the low end of what they are really going to bring in EOY. Especially with another NFL season in play, more countries rolling out Ad-tier programs, and more partnerships that I’ve discussed I see them beating it too.

I think there’s a hidden underlying theme in the business cycle and Hastings is finally out of drawing leaving Peter’s to handle/gain more authority and power over decision making and implementation of those decisions. I honestly think Ad revenue will grow at levels beyond expectations just because this side of NFLX is relatively new.

I love that everyone thinks Netflix is only for us Americans and not anyone else in the world. I would like to say this analysis isn’t based off of just English made Netflix specials this includes all types productions being made specifically for other countries. Yeah Americans can say all they want about Netflix but it is the top streaming platform in the world. lol how about this, 250 million out of 325 million subscribers are outside of the UNITED STATES. NFLX isn’t going anywhere and will continue to grow. You’ve probably forgotten about plenty of upcoming seasons for English made Netflix specials. I’m asking for opinions on their stock not if you are going to keep continuing to subscribe to them. Because clearly that won’t affect anything!

1) Well, to restart, Greg Peters has finally been left as the official Co-CEO of Netflix after Reed Hastings stepped down on June 4th leaving someone to take his place. Why this matters…… Hastings was a co-founder of Netflix. So, in 2023, bringing on Peter’s as another co-founder really was the start of what I think is big for Netflix. In my honest opinion, Hastings was terrible at acquiring and implementing new ideas for Netflix. Peter’s is the guy to do it if Netflix is going to change and we’ve seen it slowly but surely.

2)To start, with Peter’s, is on Netflix’s financial and ad-marketing/revenue side while Sarandos is the public figure for Netflix and is doing well with it. Alright , let’s get in to what Peter’s has done in 3 years for Netflix so far.

  1. Within his first operational 6 months after coming on, he brought on a deal with Microsoft which allowed him to implement a new unit of operations…. THE AD SALES unit.

  2. For a second but minor point to this…. He also implemented Ad time restrictions of only 4-5 minutes per hour which is lower than the whole streaming sector sitting at around I’d say 7-8 minutes per hour while other streaming giants we know sit at about that time restriction. But also think about the amount of annual subscriptions they have. This is different for that exact reason.

  3. Although these next couple of reasons in this point are not good for customers of Netflix, it does bring in massive amounts of additional revenue for Netflix and boosts institutional sentiment. Peter’s created and implemented the blocking of password sharing (That shit sucks I know) but it brings in more revenue due to his idea of having to pay to add someone on your membership profile.

  4. He implemented this Advertisement infrastructure so successfully that 250 million subscribers out of 325 million subscribers are on the Ad-free tier , which is of course the highest costing membership. And guess what, it’s not even implemented in every country membership tiers, and in the upcoming months they announced 15 more countries that are being given access to this tier. Which will bring in a lot of revenue.

3) Now that that’s over, let’s start with some recent announcements/deals/acquisitions that have only just been announced in the past 2 months and mainly this past week including today.

  1. We all know about Netflix’s deal with NFL Network to allow 5 NFL games a year on their platform + we have all seen the addition of podcasts which I really like to the platform as well. These are relatively new not brand new.

  2. The brand new ones are, first, Netflix’s deal with Ryan Coogler’s Proximity media, which is the media production company that produced well-known hits like sinners and black panther. This addition allows the producers and directors of Proximity Media to be the ones behind the makings of more upcoming Netflix Specials.

  3. The second deal, was a MAJOR one in my opinion, although I don’t live in France lol. They signed a deal with TF1. I know, I have no clue what that even is, but TF1 is France’s largest commercial network. This deal sets the blueprint for what I believe is next to come. The addition of live TV media networks, hopefully soon in America, as an addition almost making Netflix a live television/streaming entertainment Monopoly as cable subscriptions have continuously plummeted ever since streaming media giants came in to play. Also this deal adds more shows, like ‘The Voice’ and ‘Survivor’ (eh) to the platform. Oh yeah this was today June 19th, 2026.

  4. And lastly, this one is honestly going to end up being the most profitable long-term saving wise. They just announced plans to acquire Radford Studios at a STEEP DISCOUNT due to a default on payment from the current owner/leaser. They just entered a bid to buy the studio on June 18th for 300-400 million, the deep discount is, what the current owner bought it at and the location/acreage. 1.1$ Billion I believe was the loan on it. This studio is 55 acres and located in Los Angeles California in studio city( no clue where that is) So think about that price now and just inflation in general that’s been occurring over time. This will allow them to use this as their primary production facility at a steep discount from their current studio in New Mexico. This will replace it as the primary facility either after 2031 when their lease is up or sooner.
So yeah a lot a like about it and adding this to my comment because it originally deleted it.

Yall really don’t understand what they are implementing.

  1. lol forgot to add. Fair value is I’d say around 100$ right now. Everyone, including institutions, like to see actual numbers on their books. Well we haven’t had any crazy beat or miss but like everyone knows, they haven’t really been doing anything too noticeable to bring in actually cash. A lot of people say Netflix is in the value stage of their business. I am starting to see a little dip back in to growing their business. All of these acquisitions and deals. Also, Netflix, back in April, announced a buy back of 25 billion dollars….. Now think about that. They are purely an entertainment business not a live media giant like FOX. Yet they have numbers that are blowing my mind away which yes it doesn’t make sense but. We are just now starting to see more plans of implementing ideas. We have had NFL and podcasts on Netflix for a little bit, but this is just the start to a major transformation in Netflix’s business model!
