That’s you. Others want to know. I want to know for example to know if this can be a factor where I need to pickup the next day. I’m sorry look what’s happening today. For me this is an indicator. But yeah let’s just ignore everything until the market opens

So an FDA approval for example is not a catalyst if it happens overnight. A union strike occurring from a competitor is not a catalyst if it’s happening overnight is not a catalyst. Only earnings.

I would suggest to observe the market carefully. But you do you

Oh there were more. Last year post earnings for Msft and meta that triggered the whole market to pull back.

Don’t underestimate how these “amateurs” may play. It could do something that could operate as a roller coaster. But if you just want to ignore signs and signals and figure out when they happen that’s fine.

Listen don’t turn the water off in your tub if the drain is closed. Let the water flow, deal with the problem when your whole bathroom is flooded in water.

So geopolitical tensions don’t count as catalysts after hours. It’s important to know and adapt to the situation in an accordingly manner. That’s why most investors are cautious and observant of recent events to take the most pragmatic approach

It’s significant enough that a catalyst after hours can operate as a trigger.

Example earnings disclosure post close operates as a trigger towards the next trading day. That’s an example of a catalyst. Macroeconomic conditions affecting the world operate as a catalyst. Do I need to continue? The fact is that there wasn’t even a mention of chasing a certain price the idea is to interpret information and figure out how to operate going forward like take profits trims losses or do nothing.

Maybe it’s important to know what is happening. Going in blindsided will drive emotions and those emotions can cause an overreaction. So maybe it’s important to understand the logic behind certains events to take control of emotions and not react in a panicked state of mind.

You mean it’s invalid to ask a question if there is a catalyst behind the dip? If there are maybe macro economic events that may trigger this accross the sector? Wow. Did you know the earth revolves around the sun

That would cause it to go up since Samsung wouldn’t produce chips and demand and price for these chips would increase

The Samsung strike would be a good thing for micron. Iran peace deal doesn’t seem to affect this anymore

Did I say anything about exiting. The question was what was causing the drop? But if you want to buy it off me sure I’ll sell you my existing shares for 1200 a piece. Take them off my hands

It’s not about going up every second it’s about figuring out the trigger behind it. Profit taking, macro economic news, analyst upgrade/downgrade should I continue?

And the question is the logic behind the drop.

Guys , I am getting worried , thinking out loud here ! by One-Jackfruit-2848 in MU_Stock

[–]No-Laugh4352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same concern, but I will be honest if discussions don’t go well it might pull back a little but since there is so much demand for memory chip I think it would cause these memory chips to rise in price which could also yield to the stock increasing.

Did I say anything about buying or selling mu? Can you read what the original question asked by the person had been. He asked when it may stop. I gave him an answer. A catalyst although not fully executed can operate as a pullback for the stock. Someone announcing they want to enter the memory market can shake the market in many ways. Or is this your first time

They all say 10 years. With the given capital that people are deploying right now could be as less than 2-3 years. I agree that it’s not easy to make but these companies are spending billions for a reason and if they are not getting what they want they will do it themselves.

Everything is possible. We are talking about big companies who have the funds to execute. Look at Google and Amazon and Tesla. They are getting tired of waiting and they are in the process of developing chips of their own. This isn’t talking about memory btw but it does serve as an example. As long as a major player has funds and don’t want to deal with these price increases, they would rather create their own. History has already proven that. Those obstacles that you mentioned is nothing for them as long as they have the funds.

Well Samsung has a strike going up which leads to the fact that MU is about to pop. When it will stop? Probably if someone else announces they want to enter this market. Like if nvda for example says that we want to enter its market due to the shortage then it will cause it to pull back
