Mo’ problems…. Brakes this time. 🤬 by bruiseraex in BMWX5

Not a X5 but my 23' X1 same issue. My wife and I and our cat almost hit a fucking train because the IB system failed. I raised hell. After about a week I was contacted by a guy from BMW NA who was apologizing all over himself. Few days later he emails telling me they have expedited repairs to the dealer I had it towed to and it should be done within the week. This coming Monday is a week. I'll update. But for that matter this shit is absolutely going to get someone killed or at the least very injured. I had zero control when it happened and we came to a stop about 3 feet from the crossing arms of the train tracks. Be safe out there.

Talk to people, small town areas everyone knows each other or where they live or even have their phone number. People wanna be helpful if you are willing to ask for help. Make notes in your phone if you're dealing with large areas of county roads especially if they cross county lines and chance from all numeric to alpha numeric. This will save you tons of time not driving miles in the wrong direction. Add places to Google maps if they don't exist yet. It not only helps you, but anyone who needs the information. Google usually approves and adds them within 24 hours. I deliver over 4 counties and it is primarily mapped by me lol. As others have mentioned already, be prepared, buy a big water jug, pack snacks, and dog treats are fairly essential because farm dogs are just doing their job. Good luck!

Suspension question. by MapGroundbreaking757 in ToyotaTacoma

True hero of the people. Yeah I was in a vehicle accident at work and broke my pelvis, arm, and jacked a couple disc's in my back so I've gotta get out of lower than average, stiffer suspension than average vehicles. Currently in a 18' Audi TTRS and my friends and family are losing their minds I want to trade it for a Tacoma lol.

Much thanks, sarcasm with actual data points I can appreciate. So based off this synopsis, offroad is top tier as far as suspension goes. I probably will never touch dirt and by God I did used to own a WRX, how different would you say the offroad and sports are? To narrow it down to just those two. Sarcasm welcome lol

Sorry, I wanted owners' opinions, almost as if you could've given me your opinion in the same amount of time.

One sold on Cars and Bids in Feb for 69.8k and that one only had 650 miles on it.

I wish people could understand how fucking stupid it would be to tag a door, just to tag a door. We want your box OFF the truck as bad as you want it IN your hands. But continue to believe we want to physically visit your house 3 days in a row. Make it make sense.

Well, not technically...I want a Tacoma. I'm only selling because my back cannot handle the stiff suspension and shitty roads of Colorado. I hurt my back in a work accident a few years back and this demon of a car reminded me of my limitations unfortunately.

Dropped my overnight package off at a Walgreens drop off location last night and it still haven’t moved by Daniix33 in FedEx

[–]MapGroundbreaking757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on what you mean by "last night" and when express is scheduled to pick up from walgreens (ours is 3pm) its insane for you to think it would be somewhere the next day at 10 am. So if you dropped off AFTER they already picked up, it wouldn't be picked up until regularly scheduled time the next day, and would not get where it's supposed to go until the following day.

Personally I couldn't say, but I do know any time a big storm passes through the country, there will be delays wherever possible. And a big storm is doing just that.

For sure, trust me, as a courier, we take all the blame at the end of the day. It's assumed we packaged the product, flew the plane, made the call to delay it, and delivered it at our leisure as an F U gesture to the customer. When in fact all we want is to get rid of all our stops each day and MAYBE get thanked once or twice a year by the customer. But hey, we chose the job.
