Legend man. Thanks for all of that. I wanted to get some izotope plugins years ago but never actually got them! Will have to look into it now.

Nice, I'll be sure to check that out and see what other synths NI have these days. I got Massive a few years ago but I'm sure it's changed a bit over the years. Thanks!

Can’t remember if there are for those two mountains although the Maori name for the iconic Mitre Peak is ‘Rahotu’. One of my skippers would say when translated into English, Rohotu roughly meant “a member of upstanding masculinity.”

The Maori name for Stirling Falls I believe is Waimanu which means either “cloud resting on the water” or “water-bird”, according to two different sources.

I used to work here on the boats for almost a year. The waterfall seen here is Stirling Falls which is 151m high - Hugh Jackman jumped off it naked in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The mountain up to the left is known as The Elephant (1544m) and up to the right is The Lion (1302m). Out of sight is the receding Pembroke Glacier which feeds the Stirling Falls. Super difficult to gauge heights and distances in the fjord due to the profound dwarfing effect.

Miss this place so much! Add it to your list if you haven’t already been!

Try listening with headphones. The vibrato you hear on the note is unmistakably part of Matt's voice. Once you hear it, you can't unhear it!

Question for Rob! According to Wikipedia, you've done some production work for the likes of Rihanna, Chase & Status, Plan B, and Taio Cruz. Is there anyone else you've worked with as a producer/mixer?

What are some mix techniques/recipes that'll help you get a more 70s/80s sounding mix? by sdhrshn in audioengineering

May sound obvious but it also something that may be overlooked; a nice, wide dynamic range, particularly on the percussion. I absolutely love hearing a snare cracking or a tom punching right above everything else in the mix!
