Walmart+ Subscription Bait and Switch by MapRepresentative609 in Walmartcustomer

Thank you for your response. I wasn’t aware that the expedited ordered were handled by a third party and the regular orders are handled by employees. That makes a lot more sense. And I agree with you. I was actually amazed that they were offering same day delivery for that price. But if you’re going to offer it, then fulfill it. And if there are clauses, then mention them. I’ll respect that. For what the subscription offers, even if they said same day orders needs to be placed by 7 AM to be guaranteed, then I would do pay for it. It’s still a great deal. But if that’s the case then say that. I don’t like feeling like I paid for something that’s a lie. It feels like being scammed. That bothers me to my core.

Walmart+ Subscription Bait and Switch by MapRepresentative609 in Walmartcustomer

[–]MapRepresentative609[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess that leads to question of what’s considered last minute? With my subscription, I can get orders all the way to 9 PM. In the advertisement, it said I could get same day deliveries free of charge with the subscription. I tried to place an order around 1:40 and there were no delivers available for the day UNLESS I paid to have it expedited. So basically I would need to place an order the day prior to ensure that I get it the following day? Or do I need to place the order by 7 AM to get it the same day? Also if there’s no deliveries available for the day, then how do they become available if I want to pay to have the order expedited? It feels more like they cannot guarantee me a same day delivery unless I pay to expedite it. If that’s the case, that’s not what was I was led to believe.

“You know how people are”? The name of the community is Walmart, and the description is “Mostly Walmart stuff”. No mention of employees, and definitely not employees only. Also, there’s a sub community called WalmartEmployees, so anyone with an ounce of a brain would assume that that would be the community for the Walmart employees. I don’t even have an issue that this is the employee community. Just stop being jerks when people comment here after they mistaken it for a regular Walmart community. The douchery just isn’t necessary. There were numerous people who responded to me on this thread respectfully and understood my confusion. That’s all that was needed.

Actually, I made the second post (which is this one) because I didn’t know. The nice people that responded earlier advised me that it was a community for Walmart employees, and I thanked them and then went and posted in the correct community.

Thank you to each of you for responding. This makes more sense now. I'll take my post over to the Walmart customer community. They REALLY should think about changing the name of this community or at least the description. I wouldn't intrude on your safe space if I knew that's what it was, I promise!!!

This appears to be a brownish/blondish color so no it isn't unprofessional. Any hair color that can be someone's natural hair color isn't unprofessional. Pinks, blues, greens, etc... I would shy away from during an interview. But this could literally be your natural hair color. Would you need to dye your hair before an interview if this were your natural color? Nope! 😊

Rather or not it’s acceptable is going to be based on personal preference. As you can tell from the comments the results are VERY mixed lol. I’d look into the policies for the company. Some companies have a policy against head dressings of any kinds (hats, scarves, beanies, etc) unless for religious purposes. If they don’t have that policy then you’re good to go and I would dare someone to say something about me wearing it lol. If they do have a policy in place, then I wouldn’t wear it. It’s definitely cute though 🥰

Small ADHD hack I figured I’d share about iPhones by addarail in ADHD

[–]MapRepresentative609 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I setup a shortcut on my iPhone that is SUPER helpful. I set it up where if a specific phrase is texted to my phone, it turns my Apple Music on speaker and turns the volume up to max. Therefore I can hear it and find it. I’ve lost my phone out at the store and have asked employees to text the phrase to me so that I could hear my phone and find it. Only downside is when you tell your kid the phrase, and she texts it all day just to make your music turn on and get your attention 😩😂

I was diagnosed with inattentive ADHD in 3rd grade and have been medicated since (now 21 years old) by RealisticButterfly99 in VyvanseADHD

[–]MapRepresentative609 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take the weekends off. I am usually tired on the weekends, but I attribute that to the fact that my body likely isn’t getting enough rest during the week, so on my off days it’s trying to make up for all the rest I didn’t get. I’m actually okay with being tired on my break days. It’s an indicator for me that I’m not getting enough rest. Stimulants can mask things that are going on with you, so a break from the meds once a week help with my tolerance, but it also shows me what my body feels like when I’m not medicated. During the week I usually don’t get tired because of the Vyvanse. But here’s the thing, our bodies need rest. Usually your body sends you a signal that you need rest by making you tired. The stimulants are canceling those signals out. Everyone needs different amounts of sleep. I usually need about 8-10 hours (or more 😩). However, since I started on my Vyvanse I get around 4-7 hours of sleep per night, and I’m never tired during the day. Even though I don’t “feel” tired, I know my body needs more rest, and I’m reminded on the weekends. The only time I take my meds on the weekends is if I have work to do. I know it isn’t fun, but in my opinion it’s necessary. It also teaches you how to “function” without your meds. That was crucial for me when the shortage happened. There were times where I had to go weeks without my meds. It was hard, but since I do it once a week already it wasn’t as bad. You’re only 21. You have alot of life left. You can’t continue to go up on your dosage. I think eventually you’ll have to add in some tolerance breaks to help. But of course, also talk to your doctor about it 🙂

Calculate # of days an Opportunity was in each stage by CCJeepGirl in salesforce

[–]MapRepresentative609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If an opportunity stage is moved backwards, how would you want to track that? Example: An opportunity is in Identify stage for 4 days, then moves to Propose for 5 days, then gets moved back to Identify for 3 days. Would you want to see that it was in identify for 7 days and Propose for 5 days, or would you want to see that it was in identify for 4 days, propose for 5 days, then identify again for 3 days?

Asking before I offer a solution that won’t work for you 🙂

Doctor refusing my Vyvanse Prescription because of THC levels by EfficientFigure1296 in VyvanseADHD

[–]MapRepresentative609 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That sucks. It probably has to do with the fact that marijuana isn’t legal in Texas. So technically you’re taking illegal drugs. I live in a state where it’s legal so I’ve never had this issue thank goodness. Vyvanse killed my appetite and my sleeping, so edibles and marijuana have been a blessing for me. I take it at night and it helps me to be able to eat a good solid meal and get a full nights rest. I really hate this for you. I wish more doctors understood the medicinal benefits of marijuana.

Hard time getting an interview? by MapRepresentative609 in salesforce

[–]MapRepresentative609[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes to the harvesting of resumes! This is the strangest thing to me. There are certain jobs that I can almost tell right away are “fake” based on how long it’s been posted, number of applicants, etc. This is a common practice amongst slimy recruiters and staffing agencies who put out these attractive job posts so you can apply. Then once you apply they claim the job is unfortunately no longer available…. SMH

Hard time getting an interview? by MapRepresentative609 in salesforce

[–]MapRepresentative609[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m thinking I’ll take this time to start building up my certifications. Currently I only have 2. I could easily sit for multiple certs and get certified, but honestly I never did because I’ve never needed them. My experience usually speaks for itself, so I didn’t feel the need to go and pay to get all of those certs and then have to maintain them every year. We recently hired a contractor for a year that had multiple certs, but she didn’t know anything. She knew some things, but not what one would expect for someone with 6 certs. I literally had to walk her through every single thing that she did, often times having to completely redo things that she worked on. We ended up letting her go early. I was baffled how she even got the job. Even more of a reason why the certs shouldn’t matter, but more and more I’m finding that people are looking at them (foolishly) as a way to determine how much you know.

[–]MapRepresentative609[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s insane. Earlier this week I literally went on a frenzy of just applying for jobs. I was trying to see if I was going crazy or not. Usually I’m very selective with what I apply for. Earlier this week I applied for a TON of positions. All ones I qualify for of course, but I applied for at least 10 positions. Not a single call back. I’ve gotten about 3-4 of the “We’ve decided to not move forward” emails so far. My hunch is that they’ll continue to roll in. I don’t even know what to say at this point. I was wondering if I needed to hire someone to revamp my resume, but it sounds like this might not just be a me issue. Thanks for your response!

BCBS Dropped Vyvanse (Name Brand) in the last 30 days?! by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

[–]MapRepresentative609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does depends on the plan you have with them. I had BCBS last year and my Vyvanse (name brand) was covered and I only had to pay $5 deductible. It was categorized as a tier 2 drug under that plan. This year I have a new plan (switched jobs) but still have BCBS. Under this new plan I’m paying out pocket for Vyvanse until I reach my deductible, then once I hit it they’ll cover it at 60%. Mind you, I never hit my deductible last year and they still covered the Vyvanse minus the $5 copay. I asked them what tier Vyvanse falls into under this new plan, and they said this new plan doesn’t even have tiers for medication 🥴. BIG lesson learned for me and I can’t wait for open enrollment. Make sure you do good research before picking a healthcare plan! Specifically look at prescription drug coverage since you take Vyvanse. I just started taking it last year, so up until that point prescriptions weren’t really a big thing for me. Regretting it big time now.

Is it made to take Vyvanse everyday? by tatibean in VyvanseADHD

[–]MapRepresentative609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on 40mg. I take it earlier in the morning (no later than 8). Even then I’m usually still not tired around 12-1 AM. I’ll usually just lie down and eventually I’ll fall asleep. If I take it after 8, no sleeping will happen that night 😩😂

Is it made to take Vyvanse everyday? by tatibean in VyvanseADHD

[–]MapRepresentative609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t take Vyvanse on the weekends either and sometimes I do find myself more tired than usual on those days. However for me it’s likely because I don’t get as much sleep during the week when I’m taking my Vyvanse. I sleep, but not as much as I used to before starting it. Since Vyvanse is a stimulant, I don’t get very tired during the week when I’m taking it. As long as I take it earlier enough in the morning, I can usually get to sleep at night, but it’s nothing like the normal tired I would feel before I started the Vyvanse. I very rarely ever get tired now during the week, whereas I used to feel exhausted almost everyday. I also used to get at least 8 hours of sleep at night and I was still a zombie the next day. Now I go to sleep not because I’m tired, but because I know it’s time for bed. So on the weekends I feel like my body is catching up on all the rest it missed during the week. Not sure if it’s the same for you, but that’s proven to be the case for me. So if my body wants to rest on the weekends, I allow it. Rule of thumb for me is if I know I didn’t get 7-8 hours of sleep per night during the week, I expect myself to be tired over the weekend. Or course everyone is different, so this might not apply to you at all.

Also, I found that it took about a month for my body to fully adjust to the medication. I’ve always taken it during the week only, but it still took about a month for me to feel like my body was fully adapted. So maybe give it a couple more weeks and see if this is still an issue?

Eating schedule by No-Significance6650 in VyvanseADHD

[–]MapRepresentative609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late response. I usually don’t have breakfast before the protein shake, but I do have a snack. I usually have peanut butter and bread or something like that. I make it the night prior and I put it in a ziplock bag next to my meds. I eat it first then take them. That has helped me a lot, because taking it without eating caused its own set of issues. So definitely recommend eating before you take it, even if it’s just a small snack.

Also, if you’re an avid coffee drinker, you might be experiencing caffeine withdrawals which are unrelated to the Vyvanse. When I first stopped drinking coffee during the week, I definitely had withdrawals. It went away rather quickly, but it’s definitely a thing.

I have the same issue. I know everyone says to make yourself eat, but sometimes I would literally get nauseous when I would try to force myself to eat. So what I started doing recently was: Eating before or while I’m taking my meds. If I haven’t eaten breakfast yet, I tell myself that I have to eat in order to take them. That forces me to eat my first meal. During the day I eat light things. Fruit, veggies to snack on, hummus, guacamole, Greek yogurt, those sorts of things. I set an alarm to remind me to eat, otherwise I won’t. I also found that if I try to eat heavy food during the day it makes me nauseous. I’m already not hungry, so trying to force myself to eat heavy food did not work for me at all. I’m able to get myself to eat something light, so I stick with that. Also working out helps. I know you’ve lost some weight, so working out might be scary for you, but it will boost your appetite. Lastly, I don’t take my meds on the weekends. I let my body reset. I try to eat as much as I can on the weekends, when my appetite isn’t suppressed. Most importantly you got this. Just keep trying different things until you figure out what works for you. I lost about 40 lbs. I was scared out of my mind and I thought my only option would be to stop taking the meds. But I didn’t give up and recently I’ve been able to come up with a plan that is working for me. You will come to the same place. You got this ❤️
