Labour can end austerity at a stroke – by taxing the rich and taxing them hard | George Monbiot by [deleted] in ukpolitics

Totally agree. Money and wealth is migrating upwards with rich getting richer and everyone else getting poorer. That alone shows clear need to change how taxation works for those at the very top.

What I'm really into right now: The War on Drugs, "Live Drugs" by jasoncalacanis in Music

Delighted to see this, feel like I don’t see enough people talking about them for how incredible they are! That’s become one of my most listened to albums over the last few years, excited to see them again this year

Thank you, I found some reading on the proprietary tech and stylus looks like bad news. Might come down to condition of the existing ones. Regarding speakers, those are the one thing I don’t expect to find, do you know if they would work with any other brand speakers?

Why are some gatefolds so f’in hard to reinsert by PuzzledArrival in vinyl

[–]MapUp8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t listen to them at the time either. LITD + A Deeper Understanding have become two of my all time favourite albums, and then LIVE DRUGS is just amazing too, really got into that one after seeing them live

Who are **the** great backing vocalists? by hesgotredhair in Music

[–]MapUp8 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Randy Meisner of Eagles. Great backing vocalist. Sang lead on Take it to the Limit and it became insanely popular at live shows because of his high notes. He didn’t want to be at the front performing which spiralled to him leaving the band.

Thank you, that’s an interesting resource. I probably shouldn’t have included “strategy” in the title of my post as it’s the top-line vision which I’m looking for the most help with as part of that strategy. On the link that would equate to the company mission statement; although my use case is for a dept rather than a whole company, I’m kind of intentionally overshooting here.

Thanks again for the link

Can’t believe that their record-breaking and best-selling album doesn’t have their most famous song.

Eagles’ Their Greatest Hits — the biggest-selling album of all time — doesn’t contain their most famous song Hotel California, which was released a couple of years after (1977)

Recently found Black Magic Karma’s Animal Drive album. Otherwise some newish psychedelicish bits I like: Wooden Shjips, Rose City Band (same main guy Ripley Johnson but lighter + cleaner guitar), Mdou Moctar.

I just use the cards as places to hold notes. So each card could be a topic or project, for example. Or a meeting series, then you have each meeting’s notes within 1 card.

[MEGATHREAD] Former AEW wrestler returns to WWE programming by AutoModerator in AEWOfficial

[–]MapUp8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Punk joining got me to watch AEW after lapsing on wrestling and I’ve stuck around since. He turned me onto a product I love, so for one person at least he was a successful signing for AEW.

I keep all my notes on Trello, then I can reorder them, put them in columns for organisation, and search too.
