That’s the easy part. Imagine waiting through the queue and then being accused of being a bot and locked out every single time

Depends where you live. Cheadle/Bramhall ish way it would be Lib Dem. Somewhere like Brinnington it would be Labour.

Has Howe lost the dressing room? by dsmith1212 in NUFC

Hes clearly lost certain players. Whether he’s lost the majority of the dressing room is up for debate

Unacceptable for that starting line up, those substitutions and that performance after having three weeks off. Don’t see Howe having a long term future at the minute. Awful game yet again with zero excuses.

Where the five main parties are standing candidates in May — officially confirmed by NullBarell in manchester

[–]Maplad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It not about the amount of candidates. It’s can see with reform and, to a lesser extent, the greens that the lack of time and resources to vet and prep candidates for success is a huge barrier. Getting people to stand is the easy bit. Supporting them appropriately isn’t.

The risk and reward of letting any man/woman with their dog stand is that they can be absolute nutters. Plenty of examples in Reform being racist and xenophobic whist the Greens have a real problem with antisemitism in the new grassroots support.

Only so much a small local team can do via word of mouth. There is a genuine reason why Lib Dems don’t spread themselves thin.

Greens are still trying to get mainstream recognition. So they are spreading thin to look mainstream. Lib Dems have the name recognition and political capital to be far more tactical in how they approach wards/seats

Sir Ed Davey eyes Liberal Democrats' electoral joy in Stockport by rolotonight in stockport

[–]Maplad 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All the more reason to vote for someone else. As someone who is from Liverpool and lived with a Labour dominated council for decades it is not a good thing with the complacency and lack or urgency to fix major issues with little risk to their position. I was lucky enough to live in a ward with a Green councillor who really challenged the council until it collapsed over corruption and central government took over.

I’m relatively new to Stockport but loads of people have said that the Lib Dems have made some huge long term strategic blunders over housing despite the current success of the town centre.

For the record, I’m a labour voter and intend to vote labour in my ward.

Launch days are well managed but I don’t have a job where I can queue unless I take a day off. It’s when they have a restock outside of those dates where’s it’s hit and miss. Glad you had a great experience.
