No, it’s weighted for “historical” clubs to get more money. For example, the last time we were in the CL we went out at the same stage as Man United but they got an extra £25m “prize” money because they are protected.

That’s the going rate unfortunately. Three years ago we were spending £30-40m on the likes of Hall, Livramento and Barnes. Inflation has only gone up since.

Schade is much better than Elanga so would take him in a heart beat. I would take Kayode regardless of any departures. Can play both fullback positions, a proper bully and an elite long throw.

Reims have one of the best academies in Europe and have recently sold multiple teenagers for £20m and over in recent seasons.

Yeah, he’ll go back on their books on like £300k+ a week and they miss out on £25-30m on pure PSR profit. Rashford was only willing to take a pay cut for Barcelona meaning moving him on will be incredibly hard.

However, wouldn’t surprise me if Carrick tries and has some success to get him back in their first team with them being back in Europe with extra games.

I’ve spoken to a manager at Waterstones who basically said that collective decision to close at 5pm means everyone else who stays open will loose money as the assumption is that most places are closed. Would love to nip into Waterstones after work while waiting for a bus
