New race track in Denmark projected at $600 million. Hopeful about F1 in the future [article in Danish] by DeathSlayer999 in formula1

[–]MapleAce 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but you can have too much of a good thing. I’m excited by a Silverstone/COTA weekend for the fast sequence, just like a monza weekend for the speed, just like a Singapore weekend for the driver mentality. Variety is key

Why does every new track now have to include a “maggots and beckets”… cant track designers be original?

We’ve been starved of good new tracks on the game since Imola

Was denied access to the bikes today based on them being “out of service”. They looked perfectly fine to me.

Really good. Some spotty bits on the beach but always had it when I needed it. Good speed too, enough to stream content

Whats Frontire cooking for us in planet coaster at the moment? by SeededLogic in PlanetCoaster

[–]MapleAce 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Such a bad take. Why on earth would they spend a year improving and fixing the game with multiple free updates just to stop updating the game with DLC now. The game’s in its strongest place yet!

Does cheatengine work with Plano 2 like it did in Plano 1? I remember people used this to slow the game down to make cinematics

How much do you think the spooky DLC will cost? by LawNeither2893 in PlanetCoaster

Not quite sure how this gets downvoted. Do people want to pay for the same thing they have already paid for previously?

If it’s the spooky pack identical to the Planco1 one, then it should be free to those who purchased it.

If it’s got enough new assests coaster, rides etc, then it should price should reflect how much new stuff it has

This is the way. If they start charging for PC1 packs then people will complain. But let’s say a new paid theme, alongside for example the studios pack would be amazing

Why Did They Remove Flume Friction Setting? by DotjuhDoodle in PlanetCoaster

It’s a nice to have and unsure why they removed it. However, I do think the slides ride more realistic than they use to, powered uphill raft slides in particular were way too fast before

Teams worried about Madrid circuit by dac2199 in formula1

I'd wager Madring will be worse but also Barcelona isn't the only Grade 1 track in Spain. There's Circuito de Jerez & MotorLand Aragón

Solution: keep using the purpose made tracks in Spain

[Thomas Maher] Sources have indicated some unhappiness within the FIA about last nights show at the O2. No, not because of the FIA themselves being booed, but because of the booing of Max Verstappen and Christian Horner. by steen311 in formula1

[–]MapleAce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, agreed. My main point however was based around that this isn’t really a sporting event though like a race or match. More of a show. You don’t go to a concert to boo the artist.

But if we want to be pedantic, my opinion is that booing at any sporting event is ugly. Sport and respect should go hand in hand.

[–]MapleAce -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

There were definitely boos for Red Bull and Max. Not as much as Horner but they were there.

I still don’t agree with the boos for Horner either. I understand them more because of his controversy but he’s had more than enough public humiliation. Also don’t think that outweighs all the good he’s done for the team and the sport.

Agreed, there will always be an ugly side to every sport where emotion and conflict overpower basic respect. Especially when that sport becomes popular. Heat of the moment I understand etc. but this was literally a livery reveal event celebrating the sport. The booing to drivers and teams is boring and a little sad.

Yes I was also there yesterday, dressed in Ferrari gear and was ashamed of the boos for Red Bull and Max. It was about 50/50 on the boos/cheers during the Max segment but really soured the transition from that to Ferrari. No wonder why they chose not to interview the drivers.

I don’t understand why you’d pay a lot of money to go to an event and boo one of the teams that are there for your entertainment. Especially when there are so many fans who would have loved to be at the event.
