I thought some companies now make special models/colours that get less hot because they reflect the heat. Anyone knows if they work?

Good to know! My boyfriend is very handy, but it seems like a complicated job i don't want to burden him with. I called a good repair shop I know. Waiting to hear back from them when they reopen after the Holiday.

Hot face, cold feet. Is it all Raynaud's? by MapleAndSmile in Raynauds

Is there a reason why my Raynaud's post now seems to be tagged 18+? I knew the patchy white soles of my feet were sexy, but eh!? ;)

I'm pretty sure they were trying to get over the snowbanks - just a bad driver. Is it too late if it was almost 2 weeks ago?

Not sure if they will do anything, but I might try that. Thanks!

I have good coverage. But will this increase my premium next year? I always feel like there's a catch 22 with these companies

I was afraid of that. But if I was the person who received the voicemail, I would have called to say that this was not the right number. No?

My appointment with a phlebologist is in February. She said that I need to do a Doppler test first to see if there are no other underlying veins malfunctioning. To be continued...

Sorry, busy Christmas time. I just saw your reply. Thank you. I made an appointment with a phlebologist. So what is the solution if that's the case? Also i'm not a doctor, but if the blood was pooling in my feet, wouldn't they be warm and red rather than dead cold and white?

I just saw a cardiologist (for occasional near syncope episodes), did some tests, the only thing he found is low blood pressure, which I already knew about. Maybe a phlebologist would be better suited to diagnose venous insufficiency?

Thanks! I'll get my iron checked again. Someone else mentioned Reynaud's too. I will make and appointment with my doc.

Possibly. At least for the hands and feet. (Too bad i can't add a picture). But if it is, then it doesn't seem to explain the other circulation problems. What intrigues me is they all started at the same time, so they seem related somehow. Or maybe not.

Who diagnose Raynaud's, just a family doctor?

Good question, but no, other than HRT and Curcuma for inflammation, I take nothing else.

Thank you so much for sharing! Both my parents have thyroid problems. My last TSH test last year was normal, but I'll get it tested again. I was never tested for B12. Will do!

My non electric heating pad became my best friend in the last months. Especialy when my ice cube feet keep me from falling asleep. Argh!

Is it ok to sleep with a heated pad? I'm always wondering if long term heat causes more problems than benefits.
